I'm thinking about making a small guide this only! At this time pictures are not needed, but still they are welcomed!

I am looking for a level 20 picture, level 40 picture, level 50, level 60, and level 70. All pictures must be clear. As large as mine are in my signature or larger. Must be full bodied and action shots are most welcomed, but try to get a clear shot of the skill you are using and not to make it too distracting. Message me your screenies that you have.

*pokes my first guide* Basically my first guide is nearing completion even if it will be always updated it basically is done. So with that being said. Would you guys appreciate a companion guide that will help you through levels 21-60?

If you are for it, why? Would you be able to help? Would you use it?

If are not for it, why? What would be so bad about having a 2nd guide?

I am also going to be looking for people that can help me write it up. You'd just have to write a small section of it, so like let's say you want to help I would assign you let's say level 30 because that is what level you are. Unless you ask not to have that level that would be the level section you would be writing.

I will be revising anything that anyone writes. If you want to help, but not write a section you could send me bits and pieces of information.

All stuff written or sent will be acknowledged! I don't like leaving names out from those that have helped.

Oh before I pass out, one other thing you might consider, perhaps some tips on making/keeping enough money to get by, especially for the lvl 20-30 archers, probably a little too extra, but its a thought, I certainly remember being in that situation, though that was probably because I spent all my money trying to get good equips, then busting them in enhancement failures, that wasn't the smartest I've done. I really think that selling alchemy stones for a quicksilver or too can be a good thing for them, as long as they are taught to only do it if they absolutely must, and only a very small amount. Probably oughta tell them not to pull a me and waste money trying to enhance a weapon on your own too...so they don't have to waste fame.

first of, i would like to thank you dolly for contributing your time in helping out the archer community.

this is a link to where the lvl 60 job change guide. It includes all classes and techniques and methods in succeeding.

I have recently experienced the job change where in its very easy for us coz of the fact that the monsters there where alll green to me. I only have T3 scrolls on (no endure buff & normal green weapons and gears:D) and 50 pcs of T3 hp pots and full HP stones.

editted: in addition, we all know that archers dont make that much money when not paired with a cleric so for levels 30s-50s, the best way to lvl up and make good earnings is to go solo or party in abyss zones. Easy to kill mobs and lots of drops. They even drop rare T2 learning scrolls. And since in the lvl 60s are less quests are given, i suggest that they should maximize their own production skills (specially decomposition) where in in the higher levels, lots of T3 and T4 materials are very common.:D

I agree. xD I also am taking AP U.S. History. I wanted to take AP Biology, but Physics sounded cooler for my junior year and two AP classes is enough because that will prepare me for my future 4 AP classes I hope. xD

Basically I think I got my schedule down for the summer---> Do the 75 notecards the first 2 or 3 days; word maps the next two days, highlight and half notes the next day, rest of highlight and notes next day, fill out questions next day, take test in one day, do essays the next 2 to 3 days.
Then I'm not sure on my history because I haven't gotten it yet. So somewhere in that mess I have to fit a trip down to Michigan (I'm driving. D:), clean out my grandpa's house, work on this guide, level, then when I come back getting up at 6 everyday to ride, birthday party the 27, building one acre pastures, finishing arena, training my filly who is two, and ummm probably a ton of other stuff that comes my way. Oh yeah almost forgot about my piggy which I'm picking up Saturday, my cow which I'm getting in July maybe, and my breeder piggy which I'm breeding sometime in July. :P

I r a busy person. >D

Don't worry though. :D I have amazing grades, has amazing time management skills, etc. ;D

Actually I surprise myself sometimes with the work I do. xD I could have 50 projects going and somehow they all manage to get done. Some better then others, but my top five things at the moment are:

1. Finals!!!!! OMG yes tomorrow!
2. Driving Test
3. AP English/AP US History
4. Riding my Horses
5. Working on Fiesta Guide

Though it may be last on my list it still is up there and will be bumped up after Thursday to 3. :3

Okay since it seems to be a go. I will begin writing it the day I arrive in Michigan so that is approximately in 3 to 4 days. I will begin writing the introduction part after my driver's test today which will be in 3 to 4 hours. Then when I arrive I will begin in chronological order starting with levels 21-25 the first day, then I will move on to levels 26-30, etc. 5 levels per day. Most likely will be very rough and written in a different style versus the way I wrote levels 1-20.

So I'm tossing name ideas around at the moment. I have thus far: Archerology: A Guide to Success pt. 2, Archer's Next Step, Archer 113: A Guide to Success pt. 2, Archer's Step to Success, or Archer Guide to Levels 21-60.

xD I did my fair share of complaining, but I knew the archers needed people to look up to. ^0^ And there the guides were inspired. After this you can all look forward to a level 61-150 guide. (Class name here): The Final Leap or something like that. >>. ;D It will be built as levels are added. I figure three installments is easier then 1 big one. >.<

I have lots of planning for the event, but the date to finish that is July 1. So that has set this one back a bit so I'm saying three weeks at the most to finish this one since I plan to get all the event stuff together by Friday. xD

Kewl. May I write a section on archer tanking? Lula's is only for like 60+ and was made before the December patch where archer's couldn't AoE- forget AoE tank.
And um...you forgot to reserve posts....uh oh..

EDIT:
1. Empowerment: This is the area where archers start to get specialized. For example, a primarily solo archer wants to focus on Cool Times and maybe SP Consumption. (Although I've never touched SP Consumption on any skill). A party archer needs to go Cool Times and Damage.
However, there are some things which are universally agreed on:
-A newly CCed Hawk archer should spend 5 stat points on MultiShot CD. (i.e 21-31). <---What I think you're looking for.
-Skill points from level 41-51 should be saved for Nature's Mist Cool Down.
The points from 31-41 can either go into:
-Venemous Shot's SP Consumption/Cool Down
-Multi Shot's Damage
-Saved for Nature's Mist's damage.

The +6 thing kind of obscures the xbow but it's the best I've got.
I'll post a pic of my level 40 archer as soon as I make enough money to level the sucker from 39.

3. Good places to train: hmmmm...I got from 21-30 in 4 days. This was my basic training routene.

Ahem:

Note: Stay away from the quests in Luminous Stone 1 till level 23. These include Silver Slimes, Jewel Robbers, Skeletons, Mage Books, Punch Mage books, etc.
And stay far away from Marlone Quests till level 25.

Level 20:
-Do the Nature's Protection Quest (Archer's New Skill) pronto. It's good exp, good fame and you get a new skill as a reward
-Little Lizard men to collect SBL for Shield scrolls (You will need them throughout 2x)
-Smart Phinos and Kebbings. They are good for quests.
-Mara KQ. This is golden. Collect all your blessed lix and sell it for 1s.1.5s.
-Baby Bats. You will have to either kite or bring a cleric friend along.

Level 21:
-Still Mara KQ
-Do the Delivery Quests. They area an easy source of exp and money.
-After that, grind on Baby Bats and Gold Slimes in Burning hill. Be careful, the slimes hit hard. Either kite or bring a cleric friend along. Stay away from sand hill.

Level 22:
-Mara KQ
-Continue on Baby Bats and Gold Slimes in Burning Hill are your only options

Level 23:
-Start doing your Luminous Stone quests. You now have quite a few. Do them all at once and turn them in all at once. Remember to stay cautious. It is very easy to get mobbed in the interiors of Luminous Stone. Since you are questing, my advice is to bring an archer/mage/fighter friend along. Cleric is optional.

Level 24:
-M_A_R_A
-You now either have a very good cleric friend or you are a very adept kiter. Either of these will allow you to hold your own in Sand Hill. Battle Malone Megatons and Marlone Clan archers FTW and complete and new quests in Luminous Stone 1.

Level 25:
-Mara KQ still going strong
-The gathering quest is a pain but it is doable.
-You no longer have to kite Gold Slimes. You can skill spam on the spot and if you have a cleric friend with you, you can take as many as you wish in a row till your SP runs out.
-Marlone Megatons might get boring but it is a necessary evil.

Level 26:
-Your last Mara Level
-You can now Kite bats. But it requires extreme skill.
-You can also safely finish the Marlone Quests. However, do not attempt to beat the Marlone Clan Captains in Sand Hill without a party.
-Finish Marlone Clan's Greed Upto the quest where you have to kill Marlone. Then get a good party consisting of: A Fighter, You, One or Two Clerics and another Archer/Mage and start the secret Hideout Quests. Finally, Finish off Marlone to complete both quest sets. You will have reached level 27 or have gone on to 28.

Level 27:
-Your very first Gold Hill level. Try to stay up in front but avoid aggro.
-It is very possible to kite all three Sign or Crisis quets. Do so.
-Finish your other quests. It will get you to level 27. It did for me.

Level 28:
-If you can get to Luminous Stone 2 with out dying, then you can kite bats till the sun goes down.
-Remember to collect your 'Reach Level 30' quests from Shutain and the guard spearman.
-You might want to try Ice Vivis. They drop Summoned Beast leather and there's a quest for them too. Beware. They deal magic damage and can slow you down with their attacks.

Level 29:
-I kind of cheated here. I didn't do any of my quests =P. I was in a party with a level 30 tank, a level 29 DD fighter and my level 28 cleric friend. I would pull wolves and archons through the fence in Sand Hill, use Nature's Protection and the fighters would chain stun it dead. 150 exp per lure.
-For others, do the Symbol pieces quests
-You can now attempt to AoE bats in Luminous Stone 2. Don't go too far though!

4. I am now tired of typing.

umm... if you have a good wep dont do mara after 24.. unless you need Mara/marlone for quest.. you steel aggro ALOT and it makes it impossible to tank the bosses. i klnow from experience on both sides...

ok guys...i read all the posts n i c tht there is no one who is doin the 30-40 part for archers...

i just hit 30 yest and today m 36... all i did was quests...the ones which i did were
1.skel knight:insane exp on completion
2.zombie master:almost lvled after this one. there are 2 of them with a total of over 150k exp n abt 15s n 300 fame if m correct
3.sand hill:archon n wolfs:tons of exp there n good money too. these will definately lvl u up..i ended up gettin like 5 weapons for mages n archers doin quests at sand hill n to add to tht got few dt n bl mq...so good outing...must do...its a little hard but should do it..its worth it..:)
4.the magic staff n flyin staff quest:good drops gets u all the dims u need...
5.there were a few others too...all gave me good exp n fame...with good money..

at lvl30 i had like 3s on me...n now i have over 100s with only doin quests n sellin my drops...:D

Level 30 Armour: Sign of Crisis 4--> Beat up Skeleton Knight. Level 30 Quest.
Level 34 Boots: Equipment for Novice Archers--> Bring level 1-8 armour set to Dekkid. Level 30 Quest.
Level 36 Helmet: Interpretation of The Ancient Book 4--> Collect Pages of the Book from Monsters is MT. Level 31 Quest
Level 40 Armour: Don't Know. But I think It's questable.
Level 44 Boots: Weak Teeth 5--> Take stuff to Robin in Rumen. Level 39 Quest.
Level 60 Armour: Don't Know. But I think It's questable.

I would like to help with some of the screenies, so I don't feel totally useless when it comes to contributing. I'll have to take some next time I get on and turn off all my interfaces first, so I'd like to know if you already have any of the following:

I shoulda made that clear. xD My bad. Okay so the crossbow is on its side so the rounded part is faced this way (> or <) so therefore when you look at it it looks like this ----) or (-----, but if you get me a decent picture of it anyway I can turn it. xD I had a feeling I was be to obscure. And so for a bow it would be somewhat like mine is done with my archer using multi-shot and it is perfectly straight and would make a good candidate for using between sections.

The only reason I want them on their side (straight basically) is so I can separate small sections like introduction writing for levels 21-30 from the actually writing of how to get through those levels.

Dolly likes flashy guides. xD Plus I want to put a section in of all bows, archers, and enhancements so people know what they all look like instead of the guessing game. xD

Also, I came across the picture below of various bows when I was messing around on the Bright Kingdom website the other night. There should probably be a crossbow version somewhere, but I have no idea how I got to that image in the first place. Also, I'm not sure if they're the same as our version, and my starter-like Japanese doesn't help much.

Well what i did was Damage on Power shot and Aimed shot - Ull notice when ur a lower lvl the 2nd and 3rd addition of damage on power/aimed shot doesnt really do much until the skill is a higher lvl and empowerments are harder to get on all skills. So they should probably start by spreading out the empowerments as in 1 or 2 in damage on each and a CD point or two if they want.

However, i very strongly suggest that no matter what level archer you are, that you stray away from empowering DoT skills. Later on they do their job fine imo and dont need empowerments at all - Ex. Poison shots durration is ~same/longer then the short CD of the skill - Meaning if u are lucky u can keep the target poisoned without having to worry about using CD empowerments or durration empowerments.

As for the pictures... I'm not really sure lol I want to either make a new guide or place a section in this guide for pictures of bows, crossbows, upgrades, and armour styles, but at this moment I'm quite unsure what I want to do with them all. I have the bows and enhancements saved to my computer though. >w< Maybe they'll sit in the works and then I'll get back to them sooner or later. I'd say get it too me and I'll either use it in this guide or a later guide.

I have several guides thought up, its just how I work them all out... well it much depends. A lot are just ideas and such, but I hope that some like my final installment of the 80-150 guide will be out there after this one is complete. It's a slow process I have, much slower then my first since this one is more complicated then I had hoped. Maybe though I'll have a guide for other things, archer related, though nothing to far fetched and something useful of course.

I completely wrote this in the wrong area... this got written up in my guide. XD

I have thus far level 21-23, 25, 30 written up of the levels 21-30 section. I even have the recap section written. xD Don't ask how the recap can come before the rest... it just works that way. So far with the empowerments I made it so they would finish up with Aimed shot, both cool down + increase damage, I think I'll work with Power Shot next and try to finish with it's cool down then I'll get to decreasing Multi-shot's cool down to maximize AoE then I'll get it so the DoTs are just perfect then I think I'll have them save some points towards Nature's Mist...

Hmm that sounds good. :D I just hope I have enough room. >.> I just found out I have no room in the little 1-20 guide.

Like i said, DoTs already do their job, the player should save their points unless they want to have to buy a skill reset once they get to 75 when they dont have the empowerments to use on Piercing shot :p
If they are going to be focusing on AOE like ur noting they will want to have at least 5 points for when they get to 75 - Sinse every odd u get a empowerment they would need to start saving for piercing at lvl 67 for 5 points, but thats considering they just want max CD. If they wanted to be a good AOE'er they would also have a couple more points for dmg, so thats alot of point saving which would need to be considered prior to what they are using on other skills.

if you get ahold of t3 scrolls(def/hp), go and grind solid in the abyss on the ghosts(avoid the procks, they poison). i got 37% in 35 minuitss just now by doing this.

The fastest way i found to level was in Goblin Camp at this level. Mages score less damage and still give very high exp for a while. Because archers have a decent amount of magic defense these are no problem compared to the captains that lurk around! :)

I remember flying through levels there, I think i did it up till 38? Then went to Harkans in SEG... Then did that for sooo many levels lol. Too many now i think, sinse Dark passage has alot more archons/pixys to kill for everyone :)

Lol..Dolly you forgot one thing. And this should be in the new guide not the 1-20 guide because archers don't really shine till 30+

AHEM...to all you still stumped about this:

An Archer's Clear-Cut Non-Mage-Inclusive Role in a Party.

Single Target:
-Poison the monster and add DPS. That's all we need to do here. And we do it well.

AoE: Here's were the list goes wrong. While a mage can go AFK and no ones misses him, I have to stay alert or AoE=epic fail T_T.

1. Keep monsters off the cleric. Do this with your DoTs. They are godly.
2. Tank 1/8th of the mobs. This includes monsters you take off the cleric/mage and monsters that slip off the tank.
3. Make sure the tank never loses aggro. This is very intricate and I will explain later XP
4. Provide constant AoE damage (unlike Mr.Mage who, below 60, AoEs once and then has to go single target for 6 seconds XP)
5. After level 51, you will be luring. A lot. Instacast AoE+Nature's Protection makes archers perfect for luring. So buy those Speed Scrolls now.
6. Save the party.

What archers are:

Fighters are the tanks. Clerics are the healers. Mages are the nukes. What are archers? Archers are the Multitask class. They fill in failings of Mages, Fighters and Clerics (defence, aggro and damage respectively) and are the cement which bonds a party together. Let's face it, without an archer, you're in for a lot of work. Because tanks cannot keep total aggro, clerics cannot heal themselves and their party and mages cannot take a hit and have big damage gaps, archers nullify those problems with their own special brand of archer magic. XP

Clean and Simple: Let's take a 3 man party. Fighter Cleric and Mage. This three man party has problems. Namely the Fighter can't keep aggro. The Cleric pulls one or two mobs and has to pot and stone. The mage dies at the drop of a hat.

What does party do?
-Add a fighter and there will be healing problems. 2 tanks = 2 heals for cleric.
-Add a cleric and there will then be damage problems. the killing won't be quick enough to satisfy 4 members. And again, 1 more cleric= one more aggro producer.
-Add a mage and there will be severe aggro problems. The tank won't be able to hold aggro from 2 mages and a cleric.

Add an archer and if Nature's Protection is used well, the tank will rarely lose aggro. If one or two mobs get siphoned off, the archer can tank them much better than a mage or a cleric could requiring fewer heals or maybe even only a regeneration.

The cleric won't have healing problems since the archer concentrated damage onto the tank with only minimal damage to him/herself.

The mage has beter damage support.

Tips I can give for levels 30-40 (not necessarily archer-only):
~Do the repeatable quests early on, especially 'Purging The Moonlight Tomb' as many times as you can until you pass the level limit. There are less of them as you get to the higher 3Xs, so save your Robo quests for then.
~You can get level the 34 boots, the level 36 pants, and the level 40 top from quests. Quest list shown here (http://www.fiestafan.com/wiki/Quest_List_%28Levels_21_to_40%29) (go Fiestawiki!). However, I've heard that you have to wait forever to kill the mob needed for the level 40 top, so it's suggested to buy it cheaply from a vendor.
~Erm...grind on magic mobs? Fire Vivis, Magic Staves, Flying Staves...etc. Also, kite on Baby Werebears in Dark Passage II (or was it I?). There is a gate there from Moonlight Tomb. When skills are timed right, they can be killed before they reach you.
~Grab a Mentality scroll, and do the above while soloing. Make sure to kill mobs that die before they reach you, and rest whenever your SP is low. This way, you don't have to waste many potions/stones.

I know, they're not very well thought out. If I suddenly get a brain-wave, I'll add it in. ~brain dies down~ =)

Okay so, now I've finally finished the level 21-30 section! I can begin the level 31-40; all the stats I've placed are set. I've decided to look more towards an AoE range. I finished increasing damage of Aimed Shot and am now looking towards decreasing the Multi-Shot cool down which is complete by level 35 I think? Anyways from there I'm going to finish increasing Power shot or saving for CD of Vemon Shot, not quite sure exactly. So, basically I have to write filler stuff now.

I really need quests though that give archer items! .__. I need to know lol... why should they spend more then they need to?

On a more useful note, I just went on an Isya-Tour alone. I explored the entire AEW, FoS and got about 300 pixels into Helga and took about 1000 health (read: 1/100) of one of the monsters there. Hmmm...

On an optimistic note, a level 4x archer with a T2 Speed is a veritable God.

-Greenky
-Torturer
-Senior Torturer
-Fighters and Clerics in Elderine PvP (I hadn't really seen the whole thing T_T)

Yes basically with a little skill, a speed scroll, and a little heart to run into battle an archer can solo anything they wish for I have soloed a blue card trumpy without running and only a defense scroll and a cleric buff, but I wouldn't be eager to do it again just yet and I am only lvl 51. ;D Archers have much they can do, but as many are always eager for power and want more when they have everything at their finger tips literally speaking. ^^ Archers can overcome the challenges set before them, but is the challenges they have set before them that many can not overcome.

And with such knowledge I bump this thread to the first page so that others can pass on the knowledge they have gained so I might weave it into the next chapter of the archer guide. ^^ I am working on it, but have come into a bit of trouble, but will resolve it as soon as possible.

Yeah I surely learned that. DEX only seems useless in the lower levels. =.= I'm still gonna stick with the current build I am using for the guide, since it still can be useful, but I find that if one looks at builds and chooses the best for them it will work out. :3

=.= Yeah for missing monsters... I know I thought I was going crazy with all the monsters missing me since I only had +6 DEX in my build. XD

I do have to agree there, Apple has some bad apples, but we have some good ones too. ;D Just gotta look good and hard and ignore the bad ones. .__.

Hmm...I've just been thinking. Wouldn't it be cool to max damage on power shot to make a killer PvP archer? Because as it is, fighters have problems with me and clerics can only stall me out if they have great gear and a +9 shield...my only problem is mages. Now if we could have a super-skill that really packs a hell of a wallop (like 3/5 of Mr. Mage's HP) then we could just shave off a little health, then powershot and use the 2 instacast DoTs for a quick KO.

Another handy tip is to buy dex armours instead of end armours.
-They're much cheaper.
- My dodge rate is pretty good against monsters. With 1 T1 evasion scroll I dodge like moer than 1/2 hits on yellow and like 1/3 hits on orange (:O).

Note: Abyss monsters rarely miss. They have better aim than normal monsters.

I agree with the Dex items, I find that they are cheaper and a lot more useful then like Str. End is okay, but only really good if you find it in large sums instead of small bits.
Powershot=<3 for huge damage ^^ It might possibly work. o.O The thing I really wish we had was a bit of increase to the dmg of the poisons/bleeds overtime dmg. It would be a huge help I think. I haven't really pvp against my mages, but I've gone against fighters and some clerics. Clerics give me trouble because they can heal everything and fighters are semi-easy because they miss a lot, but if you get stunned you are like screwed. .-. I couldn't kill my fighter friend (lvl 55) against the my (lvl 52) because every time I got the upper hand, his stun wouldn't miss and there was no way I could survive. >w< (Yes... the way I got my upper hand was running him into a mob and using nature's protection, so his attention would switch to the monsters and off of me then I would pound him... don't do this if you don't know the person. D< It is mean... ^^).

O_o....hence the kiting thing. Dolly, nothing in the entire universe is more irritating then running around in circles after something which is taking out 1/20th of your HP every second...and don't forget to use mist a couple of times too when no one else is around ;P

O_o are fighters easier on Bijou? Heck, I have 10 (count 'em, 10) STR points and I don't have problems KOing fighters. Uber fighters with +9 everything, everyone has trouble with, but once I get my +9 xbow, I'm sure all will be fine. @_@

Also I guess I was a much of a disadvantage of my fighter friend because he had a +9 stated axe, full STR, and END items... lol .___. Um I say I faired quite well against him.

Okay now I have been on like hyper drive lol. I have 4 levels to fluff up and then I shall begin the next section. Told ya I'd finished it today. ;D I feel bad about avoiding so I am going to attempt to complete levels 41-50 w/out help and tie in the loose ends with anything new I get. I am still working on all the information is this thread and how to tie it all in. =.= I'm just trying to make it so that the guide is enjoyable, funny, but serious and if anyone has ever tried to mix those three completely different things into writing then you know the difficultly! ;D So, I am hard at work. =.= Gonna finish my essay while I'm at it since it just needs a conclusion paragraph that I couldn't come up with lol.

Edit: =.= Dolly just thought of something lol. I figure if anyone asks me what I did for my summer I shall say I was writing an epic piece of work... o.O I think telling them I was writing up an archer guide would kinda put them off... ^^

51-60: Continue with same build; decrease AoE poison CD & ??? lol; Planned training spots: Collapsed Prision, SEG, Abyss, Uruga, AEW(?).

Once I set out the skeleton basically then I just fluff the level up and it is done. (This is my process lol) =.=

Finished the recap section of the 41-50, skeleton of it, now to fluff. =.= Yes I normally flesh it out, finish the recap section, and fluff it up. o.O 51-60 is semi-fleshed. ^^ I'm fluffing the 41-50 section right now. I should finish that tonight. Then tomorrow if I do get a chance I will finish up the 51-60 and add to the following sections: Key Terms and Acknowledgments. I will also begin the following sections: Tips & Tricks and Final Notes.

If all goes as planned I might actually release the guide much earlier then I had first expected. ^^ Shooting for Tuesday... possibly Wednesday. ;D It will be everything, but pictures. Some sections will forever be unfinished, whether they can or can not I still don't know. Can you believe after about 2 months I am almost complete? ^^

=.= Lol 41-50 were like testing my bond to my archer big time. I think I did one repeat quest at level 49 about 7-10 times. .___. That was a real pain in the butt.
