View Full Version : Question about direction of the game.

This game definitely grows on you, that's for sure. But I'm getting
off track. My question has to do with the future of this game. I was
told (so this isn't fact, just what I heard), that this game is BASED
on a korean-only game called "Shine Online". I then heard elsewhere
that this actually IS "Shine Online", but just an english version.

The reason I ask this is because if this is just a clone, that wouldn't be
any fun. I'd like to see the game grow leaps and bounds and sprout to
be something original on it's own. Like possibly branching classes.
What's the point of having a title of "High Cleric", what every 20+
cleric is that. Maybe make choices at level 20, then another choice, so
that the game has more variety than just the 4 basic classes. Some
other things like that too.

One thing I'd LOVE to see in an MMORPG, which I have never seen yet (but it might be there), is one
dedicated server that only allows ONE character per account. That way
there's no mules holding things for people, and people will have to
actually buy things from other players instead of just making another
character to make what they need. I doubt many here would agree with
that as I always hear "Just make an alt to make your potions and money"
alot. My personal feelings is that makes the game too simple and
dumbed-down and positively takes the R (ROLEPLAYING) aspect out of the MMORPG.

Basically, I just wanted to hear some valid opinions
on where the game was headed in the long run, or was it just to be a
clone of something that already exists. And if this is to be an
-English- game (as somewhere I read it was to be), then for the love of
all that's holy, please please please recruit a volunteer that actually
speaks english as a primary language to actually rewrite the quest
dialogues, npc dialogues, help files, etc. so that they actually have
correct grammar and not make it look like a 5-year old made it. And
also please remove the "funny symbols" as I call them on the things.
Example is whenever someone does something that gets broadcast, like
hit level 20 or whatever, then there's always an "i" before and after
their name. Little things like that make the game look more
professional. Perhaps when OB starts, these things will be fixed, but I
highly doubt it. Just the little things that make the game more
enjoyable rather than trying to decipher what's happening.

Just one girl's opinion,

Dru
