I'm sure this has been posted many times throughout SoS's forums, but lately in the past few weeks I've noticed a lot of issues with parties and certain classes.
First off, I'm 150% sure I'm not perfect and just as sure that there is a handful of people who think I'm not that great of a cleric. But over the past two months I would party with people other then my husband and my close friend .01% of the times I'm grinding, AOE'ing, Duoing, etc. Now that I'm starting to party with people more to try and scrape together the exp to level due to my current level, I'm finding it a chore to find people that actually know how to party!
Recently, most commonly in Chant, I've been killed by other parties due to their own recklessness. One time in particular a scout came running to her party not too far away with 3 agro's chasing her. A member of her party used bramble and the entire party ran to leave us to deal with the 3 agros, our current monster, and the kill they had been working on...Obviously my husband and I didn't make it...
Another time, in a party I was in, there was a lower aco and a lower squire. Because the aco was in a guild of high reputation, I assumed he must be very well qualified for his level to have achieved joining that guild. I was wrong. I had to ask him to actually heal instead of trying to do damage on the monsters when all he could do is under 50 with 3 tanks and a scout to tend to. I was buffing and healing constantly and relying on sc pots just to stay caught up while this aco would use illusion when 2 tanks where down to hardly any hp. Also, the lower squire in this party would run off and try to tank monsters on her own when they would take all her hp in 3 shots or less!
Those are only a few recent instances I've noticed that have been bugging me and because of that I've sworn off partying with strangers purly based off the constant bouts of incompitance I find! Please tell me I'm not the only one who has noticed! Why are so many people not knowing how to party and train in the presence of other members? Has it boiled down to self preservation in this game already?! Seriously, what's the deal people, we have to be better then this...

Not all players are good. Maybe it's time to party in a weaker area~

you are not the only one who has noticed this, I have seen it many times and since I don't have many close friends in the game for me to party with I searched out parties many of which cost me a lot of exp. and many of them have had the attitude that no ones exp was as important as thiers (meaning that even though I was the 1st to die as an aco it was my fault that they died and lost exp) or they would want buffs to be kept up but would constantly rush into more battles that required me constant healing and spamming of pots just to keep them alive and this was when I was the only aco in a full party with me being either the highest lvl or next to the highest lvl and them trying to take on either the ice maps or desert maps.

Well I recently learned something : never ever again I'll go to desert maps with lowbies >.>
Last time I did that, there was a low scout and a low aco and whereas we were aggros by 4 or 5 monsters, everyone was about to die and the aco didn't do anything, letting the cleric do all the job but even when he was attacked, the aco didn't do anything. This mess ended up with the death of all the members of the party T.T
I mean, if you're not 50+ (or should I say 60+) don't come to desert maps >.< stick to ice maps no ? O_o

Yup
Id rather survive against killing a bunch of .12-.18 monsters than get plowed for 7% against .22 - .25 - either solo or party...but thats just me............that difference isnt worth getting drilled for 7% once, let alone a few times.....

Theres no effective way for a high lvl aco/cleric to solo, and theres a huge amount of n00bs who buy their lvls by exclusively using boosters. Thankfully, real experience is earned rather than purchased, which is what seperates the good players from the bad.

i think it takes time as a player to find a party of people that you can play well with. As an AOE-er, I'm VERY leary of who I party with, as if an aco or cleric should happen to not pay attention, it could mean death for not only myself, but anyone around me, or if some party member strays, only to bring back a slew of heavy-hitting mobs, making it more than the party can handle. (on a side-note, props to the aco's clerics who run my back, risking their virtual lives following my n00b tail)
There are good players, and there are... not so good... but finding the right people to party with is a difficult thing. When i was a Mage, I had the time to get to know a lot of the other players around me, as we all started around the same time, and were a part of the game since the start. When I made my Disciple, I was forced to party with a new group of people, people I didnt know, with playing styles (or lack there-of) I wasnt familiar with. I was in good parties, and bad ones, but eventually found a few people that I grew to know and trust.
Its a shame that things like that happen, MiLou, but all I can say is hang in there! And I have to agree with the earlier consensus, maybe training in an area that isnt as difficult is a good idea, I'd easily sacrifice a few hundreths of a percent, just to save the full 7% I may lose.
Good Luck in the Future!
Cheers!

I thank all those who replied to my post, it's a shame that so little can be done though. Thanks for your kind words notFire and I'm sorry you learned of the issues the way I did Hito, partying with inexperienced fighters is something I'd wish on no one... I'm sorry to ask more, but does anyone have suggestions on where to train? Jot ice maps is all I can think off from the level requirment for the city, but is there any place else?
Thank you again everyone!!!
