First of all, do we not have a SEARCH button? I looked everywhere for one cause I figured this topic was already posted. But couldn't find one and I won't browse through 30 pages of old topics. So sorry to all pure breeders if this happens to be a duplicate topic. :)
So, for a totally beginner, with no funding from friends, what class is easiest to solo with? And with easiest I mean fastest and/or most cost effective (try not to give a build that requires too much pot spam). And this is for pure PvE.
Thanks

Nope! No search button! So I guess that gives ONE excuse to those people who are asking the most obvious questions ever. :B
But as for the easiest class to solo with... It'd probably be the fighter. They can survive hits and do decent damage as well.
Mages will require way too many pots/stones~ Even with the right scrolls/build/equips. I'm not sure about clerics but since they're magic users, I'd probably say the same for them too.
Archers do have evasion but I wouldn't bet on it too much. x.x

Fighter makes good solo training u're the tank in the 1st place /sites/all/modules/tinymce/tinymce/jscripts/tiny_mce/plugins/emotions/images/smiley-tongue-out.gif
Cleric need to depend on the build a full end will solo fine but due to the low dmg you gonna take sometime /sites/all/modules/tinymce/tinymce/jscripts/tiny_mce/plugins/emotions/images/smiley-yell.gif
Archers and Mages need to grind alot or some call it kite /sites/all/modules/tinymce/tinymce/jscripts/tiny_mce/plugins/emotions/images/smiley-cool.gif Need to use lots of stones or pot /sites/all/modules/tinymce/tinymce/jscripts/tiny_mce/plugins/emotions/images/smiley-cry.gif
But as u progress in the game group training is highly advisable
since there a exp boost if u party
a full party getting a 160% exp in other version of Fiesta ...... so if we get that too /sites/all/modules/tinymce/tinymce/jscripts/tiny_mce/plugins/emotions/images/smiley-laughing.gif

As a cleric I found it pretty easy to lvl. I did a 1:1 END/SPR build and was able to solo just fine. I had a good amount of HP and SP, nice defence, and with bash I did pretty good damage (+weps help alot though). Also I happen to do alot of crits, especially after i got the sign of mara earrings with +1%crit, seemed to add alot. And with potion production skills I made SP pots so it saved me money on stones since I could heal myself and pop a "free" pot if needed.
only down side is everyone in kq yelling at you to heal, I mean, we got cool downs, our party members, MT's and noobs running ahead to heal.
*so cleric would be my choice /sites/all/modules/tinymce/tinymce/jscripts/tiny_mce/plugins/emotions/images/smiley-cool.gif

I think it totally depends on how good you can play any given class. I am a Archer and*I found it exceptionally easy to solo with one. Almost to easy.

If you can spend more money...fighter
If you can spend more time...cleric

I played a mage, and I had*no troubles soloing. As long as you choose your targets wisely.

Fighter. I remember hitting lv20 and ripping through just about everything with an axe.

ive done mage and archer power grinding solo and ill say iof u*want to choosse one of the 2 archers can take bigger hits but mages can do more damage, mages are known to die unless they choose easy targets(which means not much xp)i ended up staying with my archer as my main

I raised both a fighter and an aarcher to level 20+ during CB2 - while working full-time - and another archer to lvl 17.
The archer was definitely much better to solo. I didn't notice much difference at all in pot consumption between the fighter and the archer while soloing.
My normal playing style is to solo, but I really liked a couple of aspects about tthe party experience in Fiesta:
the increased XP and the fact that the party continues to function even if one or more players move to a different map. One of the things that I learned as a tester is that it is always a benefit to accept a party invitation even if you are concentrating more on filling your own quest.

Thanks for all replies. Think I will go Archer :)
Str - Guess it's good early on but i dont like a skill that add a static number to your damage. Will get obsolete when you get bigger weapons.
End - No shield to support it so half of its use is wasted.
Int - Eum
Dex - Adds so little to evade that I don't see the point of it. At level 100 it would add a bit over 16% evade. So basicly, a 16% cutdown on your pot/stone consumption.
Spr - Adds crit for higher damage which scales with your weapon. Higher m.def. More mana for skills so I dont have to waste points in SP lowering features.
So would a pure Spr Archer be any good? Theory is one thing, the real deal is another. Anyone with experience about it got an oppinion?

Well those are all some opinons but ill say this:
i have played every class to a certain extent and ill say this if you want easy lvling and to save money pick cleric all you need is to make sp pots.
To do some easy lvling with a litlle more spending then do fighter.
My favorite is mage lvling was too easy for me but dont expect any loose change as mages arent teh money makers youll pass by fine with quests and kq things^^.
Archer is preety much the same execpt that instead of pure dmg they do DoT ( dmg over time).
And part of this is that what you expect out of it to me a couple lvls a day was fine but it depends on your gaming style thus what you like the most that really matters/sites/all/modules/tinymce/tinymce/jscripts/tiny_mce/plugins/emotions/images/smiley-laughing.gif

I have to agree with Darksurge, Cleric is the easiest.
I've tried all 4 classes and got all but the fighter to level 20. Cleric was the fastest due to being able to heal. make scrolls and pots and your cleric is set to go.

So scroll and potmaking is the job to chose for a beginner?

I think clerics would be the easiest to solo. Though it may take a while to kill, depending on your build, but many of my high lvl cleric friends do a STR:END ratio or something and they can solo perfectly and much more better than me with an END:SPR build. Either way, I can still solo fine. :3 I can even tank for a lot of things when in need. ^.~ It'sjust most easy to solo since you save tons of money by not using HP pots, and you can save some money by trying not to drain your SP that much, and you get all the drops when you solo~~ wewt.
I think mages would be able to solo too. It's very easy for my mage to solo because I can spam all my magic attacks in a row, and the monster dies before it even touches me.
I guess in a sense, this goes well with archers as well, but they can't kill that way w/o using their skills. :3
Fighters = very easy to solo~ Just that you drain your HP pots without a cleric bud.
