Archers ftw?

was bored and have been thinking about alot of archer builds here is what ive come up with for pwoplw who want to know what specs are good for what


-Pure-*


*full str //* good base damage best spec if ur a party/kq man less unexpected crits to pull aggro potion consumption will be pretty high


full dex // i would say the best solo spec for an archer thats about it potion consumption will be low also


full end // for archers who don't like kiting and want to reduce potion consumption


Full spr // slow lvling but probally the best pvp spec highiest crit and if u kite, mages will only be able to hit you all that spr u will have high mdef


-Hybrids-


str-dex //* not to much different then full str a little more evasion and hit reduces potion consumption but u wont see it's effect till later lvls


str-spr // second if not best spec for dps in kq/ and party higher crit more likly to pull aggro with crits


spr-dex // good for pvp and lvling all around decent build dodge and crit archers best friends


i really couldnt think of any other specs that would be even worth it to go i know Kuhn went full dex for the most part but he said hes the farming man so that build works out great Kuhn if u could post how many times u dodge on average maybe every 5 or so mobs that would be awsome if anyone has anything to add just add it i can take the hits also dont hesitate to fix anything i put down.


one of the gm's (no names) messaged me about my sig i changed it but i asked him a question and i managed to get a vague answer out of him and he said that he too thinks archers need a buff and the developers are discussing it atm so archer hold in there our time will come.*

what i was planning on doing was str-end way less potions and i dont no if u got to lv 20 but u do this quest where u fight a clone of yourself


*after witch u get 5 devolpement points i was going to put them i spr so i dont miss any crits

How about getting the most out of the stats? Spr is nerfed after 25 is added, Dex after 50. So 25 spr, 50 dex and by then you really should know what to put the last points in :p

Sounds like I'd do good with the full DEX build, since I solo a lot.

All SPR until SPR is 25 --> 1:1 STR/DEX for me.

I wouldn't recommend DEX so much since Archers have natural high DEX already.


I would focus on SPR until you have 25 SPR. Then switch to STR. As for END I tihnk you should only add some if you really feel it is necessary.


Also implementing SPR back into the build later on after adding STR is a big maybe also. I happen to like the crits ^^, but I'm not sure how I'm going to go once I start adding STR.


I happen to like having a build centered over SPR more than STR because:


SPR gives 200% damage and you'll be throwing out crits often.


STR gives 1.2% dmg per point added. Which isn't that much.


So in the long run I think SPR is more worth it. I have never actually tried out this build, because CB2 ended before I reached Level 8 on my archer. But it makes alot of sense to me.

Best Build is 1:3 Str:Dex for me! i have a 1035-1120 atk, 400+ eva and i can boost it to 500+ for extra grinding i crit 6/10 times with a xbow! BTW you can only see a archer's true Power in High lvl's! To Bad im Starting in Lv1 Again lol

Hmm! About that! i think Str only add's a little Atk Power! i have 171+15 Str! when i add 2 +15Str ring that make's my Str 201+15! my Atk power only goes up a little bit! and no change in DMG so i prefer SPR with crits alot and dex<strike>

I'm really glad you said that actually. My orignal plan was to go full SPR, but after reading around I decided to go another route. After reading your post I'm tihnking maybe I should go back to full SPR with 10-15 END, but first I'd like to ask how effective DEX is. I heard it isn't really needed since Archers have natural high DEX.


Boy do i wish i had started CB2 earlier so i could try this stats out better myself. Lol. I guess I could still do some testing in OB. ^^

Let me think!

I normally have 400 eva at Lv56! but i used scrolls that make my eva 476 and the orcs miss like 4/10 times! In high lvl's like 56 i dont find Eva that good! and i sometime regret that i put alot on dex!



All in all Dex didnt help me in high lvl mobs! i only find it good in GW with low lvl opponent!
