map question

I've been wondering this for a while ... In events, the GMs usually name off a place to go to on the map (ex. H6 or I7), but the map doesn't actually say where H6/I7 is and this leaves me very confused. How do you know where these places on the map actually are? I've tried to ask this question in-game many times, but no one will answer me. Can someone please explain? Thank you very much! :)

in the top right of the map there is 2 bottons toggle map and toggle grig or sumthing press the grid one
