View Full Version : Question regarding the vague announcement about character name event.

Greetings.


I just have a quick question. The open beta delay notice said the following:


Players who participated in the name preservation events of Closed Beta 1 and 2 will have the names of qualified characters automatically assigned to new ones of the same gender and class.



This could mean two things though. Either: (A) we get empty slots and upon making a new character ourselves with the correct gender and class, it automatically allows/forces us to use the name, or (B) we get our CB2 character reset to level 1 basically.


Could somebody confirm*which it is? If open beta is going to have more character customisation options, (B) would be very unfair really. So yeah. Thanks in advance.

Curiosity. And to suggest to the team that if they're intending to go with route B they put in some facility to let people keep the name but change their appearance. :V

Since there are going to be significant changes to the game i'd say it's going to be a new lvl 1 toon with the same name. Also the general consensus is that if your toon made it to lvl 20 you would be able to keep the name. I've seen posts about it but havent been able to track it back to a post from a GM yet. <shrug>

i think they talked about this b4. its gonna be class and gender thats gonna be set, and apperances should be adjustable.

If indeed they went with tehfusion's option B. Wouldn't it be
possible to just delete right then, then remake with the character
customization choices you want? Doubt anyone would grab your name that
quick.


I personally want a ponytail...

Yeah,*possibly. Hopefully. But a lot of games (Flyff, for example) keep the name unavailable for a certain length of time before anyone can use it again. Hopefully that won't be the case here.

lol there will be a lot of players loging in*and makeing chars*on in on so yeh someone can take you name that fast.*
