Cleric survey, what's your opinion?

Now before you start here's a short explanation. The goal of this survey is simple, to find out what clerics think of their gameplay and how happy they are with it. I will compile the results once I have enough participants to make accurate results

Please only complete the survey if you're main character is a cleric, or if you have lots of experience playing cleric type classes. You can be any type of cleric, solo, party...etc.

I asked a CL before posting this, so it should be alright. PS if anyone wants to help write a report/article after results are in, let me know.

If quizilla doesn't have a survey-maker among the many things it has, I have no idea. Sorry. I've never really made a survey before, and I'm sure you don't want to pay $20 a month for this one survey to have more questions. >.<

Ok, I've updated the survey. I found a site which allows lots of questions and does everything that I need. If you have already taken the other guide, feel free to take this new one. There's alot of new questions, and a few ones from the other survey. This one is more in depth and will be more useful in the end. I will still take the results from the other ones into consideration.

Almost have 50 results, I wonder how many we should get? I think 50 is a fairly accurate representation of all clerics, at least active forum using ones.

Done. I like a lot. Only a few things missing, you forgot to ask if the person has built their cleric for partying or soloing (or both) and why they have done so. Also, if people are happy with their speed of leveling in comparison to other classes who train similarly. (ie. Solo cleric vs.solo fighter/mage/archer, duo cleric vs. duo fighter/mage/archer, etc.)

The reason I point this is out, is that I built my cleric for solo more because I felt I had no choice (I like to level as fast as possible). I don't like being dependent upon parties and sometimes just can't find one. I'm still slower than others in my guild, even when I spend about twice as much time playing as they. To keep up, I have to duo with a DD-tank... even when they're solo'ing. This makes me sad.


I personally chose a cleric because I like to keep going, think "energizer bunny". I chose "versatility" on the survey.


I'm also wondering if others have had the experience of a solo-AoEer coming over and stealing their training spot from them. Frankly, you can't do this to someone else on a cleric. lol. No AoE, no spot-stealing abilities.

Alright, thanks for all the replies and participants. There is now 68 responses, I feel that is an adequate representation of clerics. I will be compiling the results into text form at some point this weekend. Work has been pretty busy this past week so I haven't had a chance to do much. I suppose when it's done, I'll just make another thread with the report. And Celtic_Princess, I'll be sending a PM whenever it's finished, thanks.
