View Full Version : A reasonable Proposal

I believe that, as a reimbursement for lost game time, a 10-20% exp increase should be placed into the game for the first 24 hours after release to make up for the weekend hours we don't get to play.
this will entice newer players to get into the game and reward older, more experienced players with a faster way to jump through the more tedious lower levels.*

I agree. I was thinking they should do that double EXP event for the first day.

Your modest proposal is, indeed, reasonable. Although Outspark doesn't really owe us any compensation,*a lot of people were horrifically disappointed today.* Just read the posts.* A lot of plans were messed up.* A lot of weekends were wrecked.* Some people had even taken off work.* Outspark could rekindle a lot of good will if they followed*your suggestion.
The reimbursement you propose, however, wouldn't be fair to those of us who would have been able to play this weekend but who can't play on Monday.* Any compensation should extend to*ALL of us, and*ONLY us, who were registered in time for the release today.*(Or rather, the non-release.)
The Outspark database*knows who among us were registered in time.* It shouldn't be too hard to write some code that gives us*a 10%*exp increase for*our first 24 hours of actual*playing time (instead of 24 hrs real time).
Or maybe we could just be awarded mucho credits*to spend at*the Fiesta store.* That might be simpler.
Sure, it's just a game, and maybe we SHOULDN'T get so bent out of shape about the delay.**But it's a gamer thing.* Non-gamers*wouldn't understand.

It's quite possible that they may reimburse our time with an EXP event. But I still wouldn't be too sure, and one should never expect too much out of gaming companies because it may disappoint you in the end.
The lesson here is to learn to be patient, not matter how much you'd like to be IMpatient. D:

I'm pretty sure that Maplestory had a 2x or 3x EXP constantly for the first couple weeks after they exited their beta test. I was expecting 2x EXP for at least this weekend, to be honest.

if they do...i bet new players gonna be higher rank than us..
and its their first day open beta..isn't that like a rip off
we should give them a week or so and then they can give us extra exp for those who tested Closed Beta 1 & 2

i think it would be very likely they give a 2 or even 3 times exp event just for the opening.
