Whenever new to a game, I READ READ READ as much as I can from forums, fan websites, and from the website itself.
Most the questions you guys have been asking have answers right here on the forums: EX. Where do I hunt? (Which is completely subjective because you have to consider whether you are pumping pots or trying to get the most kills between sittings or whether you are farming for money... the variables are endless.)
However, for this one I will be nice and post a link to a previous post addressing this topic, titled "Which-Map-Has-Best-Exp Guide" by Convent. It has a nifty mathematical formula for those of you who want to get really technical with how you spend your time as well as detailed map descriptions including monsters, drops, and the suggested lvl for grinding:
