sorry if this is a repeat thread, but my search feature is being weird and i cant search anything without getting redirected to the log in page. I was wondering if there is an easy way to price things. normal stuff i base off of NPC prices, but when i sell green stuff or enhanced stuff i have no idea what is too much and what is too little. seems like some people are pricing way too high like T1 scrolls for 600c or SLB for 75c. If there is no easier way or if it all depends on what server i am on thats fine i will just keep trying to find the sweet spot, but if anyone know some secret or has a guide to pricing i would love to know about it.

Thanks

Well, for scrolls you generally price them based on what the ingredients sell for.

As for greens, it depends on the stats really. Most of the time you're better off to just NPC greens because nobody will buy them with bad stats. If the stats are great, it then depends on the level. I've seen people judging by the NPC price of the armor piece, and then adding into it for each good stat...There's really no way to price it properly, just go by what people will pay for it.

I agree with yourmojo above. It depends how useful the item is. The better it is, the costier it should be.

Let's say you got a green LV20 bow with 10 STR, 20 INT, and does 20 damage more than regular LV20 bow. All other stats are normal. You first need to know which stats are good. 10 STR is good and so is extra 20 damage. INT is worthless to archer so don't bother looking at it.

Now with that in mind, check to see what's the regular level 20 bow costs. Roumen bow costs 5s 700c. You should raise the price higher depending how useful the extra stats are. 10 STR and extra 20 damage are very useful and should cost quite a lot more.

The cheaper the price, the higher chance of selling it quickly. If you're in a rush of selling it (let's say you need more room for your inventory), you might want to sell it at a bit cheaper price than you think it should. If you think it deserves a cost of 10s, you might want to sell it for 8s if you're in a rush.

One tip to somehow "trick" the customers (while vending, not in forum) is changing the price in "abnormal digit". For example, let's say you want to sell the green bow for 10s. That's a very standard price. You can somehow "trick" the customer by lessen its price by few copper, for example 9s 990c. This gives a smaller chance of selling it quicker because some might think it estimates to 9s if they're not careful. (losing 10 copper is seriously nothing)

:D Good Luck! :D

I will usually sell a green for the same price that you buy the NPC items for. Think about it, if you NPC'ed a green lvl 30 1h sword you'd get 1s. Now, I think to buy that from the NPC, it's like 16 or 20s. If you sell that for 20s, you just made a profit of 19s. I have seen people pricing greens for hundreds of silver just because it's got godly, and their vendor sits there with that item for days. Better to make a tidy profit and keep selling greens rapidly than wait weeks for some desperate person to fork over 300s for the item.

Most players just sell for too dawn much. I always sell really really cheap (below NPC prize) and I sell mats for only 10% more than the NPC gives me and most of the items are still not getting sold really fast.
I hate it that many players totally overprice their items. -.-

Sell T1 scrolls for 100c already!

Sell T1 scrolls for 100c already!I'm the same way. I price everything dirt cheap. I usually sell t1 scrolls for 50c each XD Or back when I was working the t1 Xir...I would sell it for 1.8s while everyone else was selling 2.5s

I dunno, I just think it's better to sell it cheap and keep the items moving faster.
