I haven't been able to find anything on becoming a "party" cleric/acolyte (wanna play with my bf, no intentions of solo-ing really). I've heard mainly that pure INT is great for solo-ing, and that the mana pots are made up for the things you loot, but in a party it's harder to make back the money.
So I've been wondering, what's a good build for a future party cleric? I barely read that it's an advancement at lv 66 (?). Also, are terms like "3-1" ratios?
I'm really not looking for a " some into int and then some into wis if you want ", but moreso something solid and distinct.
Sorry if this was repetitive. Links would be nice if this was already posted; search button didn't work for me D:

Well, even though you want something solid and distinct, there isn't a solid based best build for a healer. Just browse through some of the threads in the acolyte section. You have to decide really what you want your stats to be. Everyone is different. Well I'll just post some links which might help you think about what stats are best for you...

So keep it up and have fun with your BF xD

Go full INT.
O: That's no fun! Then if everyone went full INT it would be a robotic game D: where everyone was the same and all did the same.....

I'll check those out, but I'm not very interested in going full int at the moment. I realize that for damage people, high damage is very alluring, but the extra MP is what I think a party cleric needs more.
Plus, since I'm barely starting out, going full int in the beginning might be bad for my pockets D:
Thank you ashley88!

Well, full int also means more power to healing as well. You also always need to keep an eye out for your next staff to insure you have enough in power to use it. The benefit to adding to men for us is questionable, so you would probably want to look at wis to raise mp or sta to make you harder to kill. You can increase your men with accessories, extra brooches or necklaces. I had a mixed int/wis and reset my stats after talking to a couple of people who had made cleric. I was really surprised at the gain in power. I party a lot, and I do spam a lot of pots, but I usually make enough in loot and experience to come out ahead. Not to mention that it isn't uncommon for party members to give you pots or vend them to you for little or nothing if you are doing a good job. In a normal party I usually only have to guzzle pots during mobs. AOE parties are a different story. I go through lots of pots during aoe.
