I just had a curious question for you guild rep's out there.

Why is it you only recruit after lvl 20+?

I can understand people begging for gold/power-lvl'ing and items. But still the fact remains if your advertising a guild that is based around "fun, loyalty or warring " of the game. Aren't you disciminating against players from the start by saying you have to be here, before we look at you, thus not making the game fun.

So are there any guilds out there that are actully recruiting people? Or just asking for people that are geared, rich and able to donate to the guild?

Seems sort of a lop-sided system to me

But to any guilds out there that are currently recruiting. (and I'm not sure if this is the right forum to place a request of such) Do you recruit people that are lvl 10+ as a requirement? People that aren't geared the best that they can be, but do get by quite well anyway.

And most of you (guild admins) that have posted on this board, if I asked one of your members what your recruiting requirments are (which I have), I get a rude responce.

"Excuse me, what's your guilds level requirements?"

Response. "Whats your level?!"

"Currently 10, about to make 11."

"Lmao, we don't want you! grow up noob"

And thats just one of the "nicer" Responces that I have gotten...jeez thanks.. Could you be any more rude? I'm sorry if I don't have an axe that glows some wicked purple sparkle crap, but you don't need to treat me like it, crap that is. Sorry, I'm an adult. oooo scary.

So are there any guilds out there, that are actully adults?
Yes, I'm a lvl 10. I play this game to relax, not to farm things, not to beg people for things, or ask to be power-leveled. I can do that on my own, what I am looking for is just company. Other than. "Go to this site for free fiesta money" Or "Hey you! Buy my stuff"

Any guilds out there that would take a player like me? Or are you just after the players with bling?

The general 20+ lvl req wasn't created to discriminate lower levels. It's because after level 20 you're more likely to stay in the game so you're not filling up a guild spot if you say decide to quit at level 15.

I don't plan on quitting though. I just play "Casually" having a full time job and two daughters has that effect on you.

I can understand where you comming from though, Iris. But I'd honestly like to know why I'm responded to as crap from a community of people that supposed to be as advertised. "Friendly" riiight, getting hit by a bus on a rainy day seems more friendly.

If you're being treat like crap, you're in the wrong part of town >.< I understand your situation but I geuss it's sorta like motnhs of tradition don't really change for one person ya know. I beleive there are some guilds out there that recruit below 20, but they're few and far between.

As was already said, lower the level more likely to up and quit without notice, and no guild wants to build up inactive members. Also, a guild might not want to have lower levels, with good attitude or not, since as a level 10-20 you wouldn't be able to do much in the way of participating with the rest of the guild if they are 20-30 levels above you.

Or maybe they're just jerks, "noob discrimination" certainly does happen.

I know that a lot of guilds do it because 1) esp in this game a lot of low levels are noobs. It's just true! And 2) alot of times guilds are formed by people in their 20s or 30s and they like to recruit a group of people that will all be able to play together. With my guild I would recruit any level as long as they were pretty sure they'd stick around. If they were gone for a long time I'd probably end up kicking them eventually because there is limited space, but I would give them a shot if they seemed nice & mature enough. :) Too bad they deleted my guild and it is not resolved yet GRRRR

I have been asking this same question on Flyff, Rappelz, Corum, Runescape, Jedi Outcast, Galactic Battlegrounds, and the list goes on. The only thing I can think of is that the people who run the guilds (and I do apologize to anyone who does not do this) want nothing more to be the best in a video game. They only wand to be THE best and don't care if anyone else is having fun with it. I place all of the ksers in the same category. They just don't care if it's fair or fun as long as they get what they want.

Exodus, you on Teva? If so, send me a whisper sometime. I like to talk with my guildies, and have guildies to talk to. Even if I die in-game, I like having conversations because, quite frankly, I'm very lonely in real life. I have a history of being forgotten at gas stations in Texas by my parents -once when I was no more than five or six years old, and the most recent, when I was fifteen or so.
Levels don't matter to me. As long as I like the person, I don't care. Now, I admit, I tell my admins 20+, but only because I have seen tons of players, guildies or no, up and leave Fiesta without notice, usually the lower leveled ones, and I don't like seeing the same person offline day after day -without speaking to me about it, mind you- when someone I could talk to could be there.
