New to Cleric

Hello Guys,


***** This is my first post here and after reading some threads Iv decided to play a Cleric due to the fact I love to heal and think it is fun. I cant play now since the Beta is closed however Tomorrow the open beta starts (wooohoooo). Anyhow I got a couple of questions, What is the best Staying Alive / Healing Power build? Also is anyone looking for a cleric to join their guild? I plan to be a full time play loggin in about 5 Hours a day and would love a guild that is active and does things together.

Well a good build would be to put all points into SPR. To play cleric effectively simply DO NOT fight anything strong without SP potions. If you do not have them than it will kill you even wiht healing.

okay, first off, a good cleric build would be to put your point into END. you get divinity scrolls at certain lvls from the skill masters that will raise your sp enough. trust me, you need more end than you need spr. i myself am going for a almost full end cleric, as are a few of my cleric friends, one of whom played in both cb1 and cb2 and made it to lvl 52. -_- so i'm thinking maybe he knows what he's talking about. so pump that hp--'cause a cleric who gets one shotted a lot is not going to be a very good help to anyone. don't worry much about str, but spr is fairly helpful if you want--not only gives you the extra sp but also increases your crit, which usually is better than extra points in str anyway.


also, you really don't need a party to lvl until about lvl 10 or 20+. lvling is fairly easy up until then, especially if you do kingdom quests. the new player grounds are fairly easy to find, and as long as you take the quests from the npcs given each time you lvl, then you'll be fighting the monsters you should at your lvl.

yeah, you use your skill points on your heal skill to reduce the cool down.

I hear that 2:1 / 3:2 End Str is the way to go as a cleric... But you say SPR is the better choice, how so?

adding stats to spr not only gives you extra sp to use to heal and buff with, but increases your crit rate, which allows you to hit a whole lot higher and harder than if you had just used your extra points in str. spr also adds to your magic def, so it seems the beneifts of spr are better than those of a str...except we're still unsure on this as they might have changed something important concerning the stats. guess we'll just have to see tomorrow.


but either way, go mostly end. you can play around with either spr or str--it's really up to the player's choice. in cb2 i had a end/str/spr build, and it did okay, so it really doesn't matter. just don't bother putting your points into anything else.

what does str give you as a cleric if spr gives you magic def sp etc...

str gives you +1.2 attack i think. end is what gives you physical def, which it seems clerics are a bit low on. and besides that, it gives you extra hp, which is always nice to have when everything will try to attack you.* but, like i said, we'll just have to see tomorrow how the stats stand.

Str same as Fighter increase dmg and bonus dmg every 5 points. (for battle cleric)


Spr increase critical and magic def.


What kind of Cleric u wanna be then go for the stat..

wow, just don't ever go looking for a revive then. or a magic defense buff. or an attack buff. or an invincible buff. or a cure if you get poisoned/diseased. or an hp and sp extender buff. or a hp-recover buff.

no, blood is only dark red when it's dried. trust me, i've seen enough fresh bright red blood pumping straight from/into a body to know what it looks like.

and if that's the case, then you need to learn the difference between sarcasm and actual burning remarks. people like me come on these forums and have sarcasm dripping on every word. just so you know, because there are other people out there not as nice to just stay cool and not say anything when someone starts swearing at them like a spoiled 10-year-old. had to deal with waay too many of those on the net.
