I'm thinking about becoming an Acolyte, but first I have some questions about this character class.

I know that as a healer I won't be able to solo very efficiently so I'll have to form or join a party but, is it hard to find parties to complete a quest or just train with?

As an Acolyte what stats should I invest in?

Is it true that my stats are restarted after when I change to Acolyte? if this is true then while I'm a Xenian should I just focus on strength and health?

Since I will be able to heal do I need health pots or would it wise to only invest in MP pots?

And my last question is are Acolytes and healing characters in general often sought out after by guilds? and would it be wise for me to join a guild as soon as I can?

1. parties will always want an aco (dont know if I misread the question)
2.when i was an aco i put all points towards INT and WIS, sometimes in MEN also
3.yes, your stats will be reset when u change class... and yes as a xenian put all pts towards PWR
4. its always good to invest in both just in case. im a cautious fella, so byuing both kinds of pots always made me feel better. And to be sure, I at times used the HP pots
5. some guilds, some, will require you to be a higher lvl. I've seen a few that require you to be 40+. I didnt join my 1st guild until I was lvl 50 as a Disciple

Also, I mostly soloed. Once in a while did i ever join parties, and if i did it was with friends of mine.

Do you know wt your next job class is gonna be after going aco?

1: Soloing/Partying
You can easily solo till lvl40. After that, soloing becomes quite difficult due to
low attack and low def. So acolyte deeply depends on party in leveling up.
If you keep good job as an aco, I mean, always try your best to keep party alive and
safe, then you will get to have better chance to find a party.

2: Stats for Acolyte
Be sure to put stats mostly into INT. As for other stats such as POW, MEN, and WIS,
many people have argued about them. It's really up to you though I don't recommend WIS.

3: Stats Reset when changing to Acolyte
Yes, you get your stats reset when turning to Acolyte. Put all stats into POW while
you are Xenian.

I hope your success as an aco :)

I stand corrected on the aco stat distribution. Ty, altho it would have been nice for me to ask back when i was still one :p

but doesnt WIS increase MP max when u lvl up? Also, I was told that WIS helps in MP regeneration.
But you're right, depends on the player :p

And Elgintidus, good luck on the Cleric path. I was too inpationt to wait that long. Gotta admit tho, Disciple aint too bad

Wisdom increases the MP you have, not sure about regeneration. Men increases casting speed and chances for a critical hit, however it takes several points to make much difference and every point you don't put into intelligence takes away from the damage you can do and the amount you can heal, so I don't think men is worth it. I know some people who put every third or fourth point in wisdom. It is up to you. One thing to remember is keep an eye on the level up list and check out the new cane before hand. Every some many levels you have to invest a point in power to use the new cane. This usually happens on a level where you get more than one stat point though.
