Well lets see here...350 + 350 +350 = ummm.....1050
The rest of the regular CS sets are:
http://i27.tinypic.com/29loapg.jpg
So ya, like, don't BS us please...It only deters buyers rather than attracting them. We aren't stupid, you can tell us it costs 1050 and release it as a set.

That's 1.50! :O
And notice it says clothing, clothing = refers more than one.
It would be BS if they said 'Kimono Top for 50 cents'

actually it is a good deal each kimono piece lasts 30 days. $5 = 3500 sparkcash therefore you can buy 3 of each piece and wear a kimono for 3 months and spend only $5
the work out set is 540 for 7 days.
the kimono is only 40 spark cash more than the tux/dress
and i'd rather have a kimono than a dress anyday

If you have cool shoes from something else, you don't need to buy the slippers and you can look 'different from the crowd' in a Kimono and trainers.
Then its only 700sc :)

@_@ Clothing does not refer to more than 1.
I thought it was 350 for the set too but it is still too pretty to resist. :p
But in all fairness, technically they haven't advertised wrongly. It is 350 for the kimono clothing. They didn't say set. Its just advertising/marketing technique.
Question: Why are our feet so big in the slippers? o.O

Because we're really shaved hobbits >.>
But in any case, even if the notice was a bit misleading, it's still a good deal. 1050 SC for something that lasts you a month? Hell yeah XD. You can pay around the same price for other things and only get 7 days out of it. And it allows you to pick and choose what you want. If you don't like the shoes, and think you have some boots or a piece from another CS item that looks better, you have that option to not buy them and use those instead. Or the same for the bottom or top half of it.

Perhaps it was a typo. Has anyone PMd admin to verify or would you all rather just throw a fit?
Seriously, I am getting weary of these threads. Double check your facts before starting a "Outspark ripped us off" thread. That would include taking the time to asking an official staff member before automatically assuming the worst.

Perhaps an abundance of them would indicate an issue, rather than an annoyance to you. I never said outspark was ripping us off. I was pointing out the lousy attempt to make us think the Kimono was only 350 SC. They certainly did their best to advertise it at a super low price of 350 when only a single piece is 350.

Sigh...how true. It seems to be a trend in the forums. Someone starts and everyone else has to follow.
There isn't even a typo. There was no false advertising.
Clothing can be a single article of clothing.

No but you implied it.
I don't know if any of you actually realise that it is basic marketing strategy.
They did not at anytime claim that it was a set. They said kimono clothing.
Besides, all it did was made you look in the shop whereby you find out that it is a single piece of clothing. You didn't find out AFTER you purchased it.
Oh and don't forget. You are comparing prices with the regular clothing. Compared to the rest of the Asian sets, the prices are low.

06-28-2008, 09:37 PM
Well, they aren't ripping you off, it's merely a tactic.. And it worked didn't it? It made you look? And then realize it was 350c for one piece of a set that was divided? Which /is/ the truth..
;) S'okay matey, outspark is still being fair to you, I promise.

No but you implied it.No I didn't. You're reading too far into it and putting words in my mouth. Nowhere in this thread did I say or even hint towards outspark ripping us off. A rip off would be where you bought the item and it wasn't what they said, you said so yourself:
They did not at anytime claim that it was a set. They said kimono clothing.Therefor it wasn't a rip off. The issue here is that they played on the line as best as possible to make it seem like the set was 350 SC.
I (and a few other people in nearby uruga) felt that this was an insult to our intelligence and a waste of our time. Business strategy or not.
Besides, all it did was made you look in the shop whereby you find out that it is a single piece of clothing. You just proved my point, thanks.

I like the separation of it. I just want the top part, not the shoes and all that. When its divided up I can not waste money on the stuff I don't want. Yay.
Even if the advertiseing was potentially misleading, I don't see why it matters or why anyone should care. Its not exactly an important issue.

The announcement never said the kimono was at a super low price of 350sc they just said a super low price. The shop clearly has each item labelled so it is obvious that there is a top, bottom and slippers for the whole outfit. If you look at the store and decide you didn't like it then you don't have to buy it. All information is given, the duration, cost of each piece, 3 pieces shown together once you look at the store.
It was not misleading in anyway.

The fact is that their marketing/advertising technique did what it was supposed to do. Make you look in their store. It is not them insulting anyone's intelligence. It is merely a normal marketing/advertising practice. Outspark did not come up with it. It is a technique used widely all over the world.

True... if i go to store to buy one small thing i usually get out whit 10 more :D.
Thats how trade work, they change store shape to indirect forcing you to purchase things witch normal way i never consider to buy at this time.
Thier message was simple "cheap kimono" so many people jump at store to purchase.
And there is our "job" to look carefully at this offer.
By the way if in game people will look close what they purchase then we will have less scamming sytuations so remember "Haste is a silvers waste" :)

We're sliding off topic here.
And on that note, is this still an issue and worth posting about or have we beaten this horse sufficiently enough to close?
Many wonder why I allow threads like this to remain open. Firstly, as it has been said before, I feel everyone is entitled to their opinion, pro or con, and have an equal right to voice their concerns. if it is civil, flame-free and polite, then it may remain. If it opens with an inflammatory or insulting comment, I tend to close it more readily.
However, by leaving threads like this open I have found the community will usually answer the question at hand far better than a CL or even an Outspark Admin. Furthermore, it is this aspect of our community that keeps me going when things look dark. I know there are a lot of unhappy players, some new and some old, who wish to voice their displeasure. I also know there are a LOT of players, members of the community, that have a broader sense of what is and what is not and have no issues in setting the record straight. Jhanniss, as abrasive as her tone can be, is right on the mark 99.9% of the time. I know I can respect her input, positive or negative, and know that it is based in reality. I can share this trust with several others on these forums.
Others, however, it seems, would rather choose to complain about what many would consider the “smaller things”. Remember folks, choose your battles. There are some issues worth fighting over and some that aren’t. It’s to you to realize which is which.
As for this topic, has it reached the end of its life or is there further discussion required?

Understood. However, the reason those threads were closed (and any future threads on the same topic, by the way) is simply because Outspark has no answers to give at this time for whatever reason. Do I think an announcement should be made? Absoutely! However, one cannot be made without having 100% of the facts. For the very reasons I have stated and the same reasons I close them all down. There are no answers to give at this time and those threads promoted only specualtion, rumors and panic. I udnerstand the German forums made a statement but be aware there are always two sides to every story and what we see may only be the tip of the iceberg. Outspark may still be in negotiations with them but due to certain confidentialities, that info cannot be shared yet.
In truth, I don't think the German forums should have relseased what they did, not in good faith. That's poor business form there.
However, that is the last I can really say on this subject. As soon as I have ANY answers and the authority to share, I will share them with you all.

Smitske, there are two distinct ways to approach this. One is with the anger and ire you are currently doing. Are you justified in doing so? If you ask me, sure. However, that path does not yield results.
Another way to approach this is with faith. I've said time and time again I feel, like you, that Outspark should make a comment. I also realize that they may be unable to do so at this time, either because a) negotiations are still ongoing, b) there is a signed Non-Disclosure Agreement, c) they don't have the answers yet, d) all of the above.
We see only one aspect of this; we have no concept of the inner workings or what is at stake. I still feel what was said on the German forums should not have been said and it is that, more than Outspark's silence on the issue, that is causing most of the grief on the matter.
I have friends here who would be subject to the ban. We all do. Smitske, YOU may be subject from what I understand, as would KateeHelen. Personally I'd rather not lose either of you or ANY player we crrently have here. That call isn't up to me, however - but I have a strong sense that Outspark feels the same; they don't want to lose anyone either and could very well be neck deep in negotiations to find a way to keep everyone happy.
However, until an answer is found and shared there is nothing to discuss, sadly. :(
Furthermore, this topic has nothing to do with the original topic of the thread so I have to ask it to end for now. My sincere hope is that something is released soon and we can all get some answers.

Well... it was not me who start calling all who attack Outspark "kids without brain and sense".
But for me this debate is over because i dont see any reasons to continue because we both have our certain point of view about many aspect and i you are correct that i have no rights to tell you what you should think, but i can atleast expect that you will respect my point of view.

Actually that phrase was misquoted by someone and was targetted at those who attacked Outspark in a rude and derogatory manner in another thread. As I told the other person who was offended by that, if the hat fits........
I don't even recall if you were party to those threads. However, you do need to keep your threads seperate. Offending me over something that you should have addressed in another thread isn't really the right thing to do.
As I have repeatedly said, anyone can have their point of view. However, it is the way that view is expressed that makes the difference. Again I repeat. Being rude and derogatory towards Outspark is the issue I was defending, not Outspark. People really should see the difference.

I still feel what was said on the German forums should not have been said and it is that, more than Outspark's silence on the issue, that is causing most of the grief on the matter.

eben if there's nothing going on they could atleast say so, the others do it cause they know that we dont feel like we have nothing to do with the faith of our hard work. And if they really cared about the player sand actually listened to us they would know by now that all we ask is just a simple notice and not stuff it away under a carpet like its dirt, and ill respect the OP by noit bringing this topic in this post again.

That person you mentiones was my brother<and belive me that last thing you can say about him are such phrase as you use...(and speaking the truth i owe him my life:o)>".
Alright... i really see no more reasons for our discusion because your point of view is too solid grounded and you never accept that you might be wrong.
And to end i want to mention a pharase that someone wise say:
"Do not jugde if you not want to be jugde in this same way"...

It seems all has been mended, so let's get back to the subject at hand. Can anyone give me a reason as to why this thread should remain open any longer?
