You'll get the dusts needed when you kill monsters, they should drop plenty if you fight a lot.

You can get the materials (Old Dusts) from Spirit/Elemental/Humanoid/Undead monsters.
Examples of these would be Mushrooms, Fire mushrooms, Speedy Honeyings/Honeyings/Greenkies/Phinos/Mara Pirate/Skeletons/etc.
You can tell what type a monster is by clicking on them, and then hovering your mouse over one of the two circles by their HP/SP bars.
Also if you have money to throw around you can buy stacks of them for 3s at Nina in Elderine.

I like sitting down in a field and paying people 4c for their dusts. If you leave it on overnight, it'll all get sold to me by the morning, and then I produce some Lix and sell it back to people for a huge profit ^^.
