quiet title -- help?

i want some insight or help in getting this title.
or at least a guide?

i was told not to vend and try dancing in place during the night so i don't d/c- but i still d/c'ed when i tried it... anymore information?

like- can i still rest?
what about staying in a store window?

To obtain the "Quiet" title, you must remain silent for 24 hours straight. Most people get this easily by vending AFK while they sleep, or are doing something else. Now people get D/C'd a lot, but I think this is to limit the amount of active and non-active players playing in the server to reduce lag issues, or is a complete coincidence. If being AFK for 24 hours doesn't work and you end up D/C'd before the 24 hours, then I don't know of any other quick solutions. My best guess would be play for 24 hours without talking which would seem monotonous and difficult, because you can still get D/C'd, so I don't know any other ways. I was able to shop for 24 hours, and not get DC. It really is the internet connection you have. I did the 48 hours at my friends house, but ay my house, i could only stay connected for 4 hours until I unhooked my sisters intarwebs >:D

Another don't is, don't move maps, or it'll reset your timer.

I've gotten the non-talking titles on all my characters vending. It does not restart your timer, as I closed and then opened my shop multiple times during this period. I did not change maps, so I can't attest to that restarting or not restarting the timer.

I've always wanted this title, but with all the precautions in the world I'm bound to get disconnected. I'd swear that there is some thing that hunts out and disconnects people who are logged in but inactive, but I see some vendors that are open in one spot for what seems like days on end. :S

I was inactive for about 26 hours trying to get my silent, and I didn't get booted.

But that was when my internet was best, Because I made a Direct Connection to my computer, and my family had no idea why their's wasnt working.
It's usually the internet, unless they really DO boot you for inactiveness.

When I didn't fix the internet to direct connection, I was only able to stay on 4 hours at a time. Even if I was in a house, or just leveling.

i made it all the way to speechless
i went on holidays last fall i had my character in echo cave dancing for days ...
i got a bunch of titles like speechless and fiesta guardian
dont talk & dont change maps thats basically all u gotta do

Go away somewhere. Say you're going to a friends house, leave it running then, as long as your family cant go play your account!

Do Not
Run any programmes at the same time.
Have a screensaver. Screensavers = DC.
Talk, shout or whisper.
Shout out when you havnt got it yet, patience.
Leave the map.

Now that I have your attention I was the very first person to get Speechless, Fiesta Guard Captain and Fiesta Fan titles. I knew my computer would have problems getting these titles so I had planned what to do before hand.

For the absolute best chance of getting these titles is make sure you have no other program but Fiesta running turn every computer process off only leave the ones Windows needs. No MSN or web browsing for 5 days is what I had to do O_O

2nd part is the one you have to watch out for most. Don't put any stress on your internet connection at all. If you are running on a shared connection disable all other connections except for yours until you have the desired title you want. No downloading anything no web browsing no nothing only Fiesta should be using your connection bandwidth.

3rd and last part once you are ready go to a lag free area any will do I did it in a corner in Elderine and I had to change corners a few times because there was a boss event going on in Elderine. At the time I was going for Fiesta Fan. One of the mining Caves is your best chance though just make sure enemies in the caves don't get aggro on you though.

During the 5 days check usually once every 6 hours to see if you are still connected. Watch TV, play your PS3/Wii/Xbox or DS or whatever you have while you wait.

One more thing - don't bother trying right now. There will be server maintenance on June 30, and presumably there will be downtime.
