dunno, maybe you got to achieve the lv 20 class upgrade quest

murdlink is right, I did it first time, but I hear its a pretty hard quest for other people :D

Yea you gotta do the upgrade quest, i couldnt weild that mages wand and somebody told me I had to do the upgrade quest.

After you've done that quest, you will be given the choice in what kind of weapon you want.
