No need to triple post ~.~;

Well, Int increases the damage, Men raises casting speed and criticals, Wis increases MP...
In my opinion pure Int or Int/Men are the best. Men is a little messed up for app/mage, but you can cast fairly fast with it.

so i should just build my int and wis?

oh my god. Just click the edit botton on the bottom of your post. And you are going to need some points in wis but its not nessisary if you have a bunch of mana potions with you. The best build is int/men hands down.

Honestly I think Wis is kinda useless... True it increases your mp but you'll be missing some damage, which will make you cast more times, and I think that uses the extra mp you get from Wis. XD
That's just my opinion though. But you will need to use lots of pots if you want to level fast anyway~

:confused:so i should just use an only men and int build like each gets the same amount of points or something like that? should i just make a pure int mage or add some wis and int?

Go for the int/men 5:1 build.

And btw jawu4, the Edit button is your friend. ^^;

Just Go Pure INT
and add some pow for some pots
that way you can grind
and kill
that was my method :)
it got me to 43 untill i retired

pure int mages pwn
i have only put all stats into int exept for power when getting new staff
i do good dmg now and since you will need to pot anyway so why not do more dmg so less potting.

i cant stand the sitting anymore :D maybe thats why im so frigging poor

Well I have a good build IMO, got 10 on Wisdom, 62 Int and 5 Men, and some sort of power so i CAN use ma staffs XD

U need some Wis cause high lvl spells cost a bit of mp and u dont wanna run out after a few casts

There were days when INT/MEN ruled the Mage builds, but then again, thats before they seriously nerfed the casting speed in favor of the animations.

My recommendation is to go with what you feel is right.

INT/MEN gives you slightly faster casting speed, and more criticals (when Fireslinger was an INT/MEN build, with accuracy and concentration I once chained up to 7 criticals, its not a bad build, but it has its pros and cons)(cant remember how much MEN I had, but I pumped it pretty high)

INT/WIS gives you a larger mana pool, and improved mana regen. I havent encountered an INT/WIS mage in a while, but can tell you that its not as effective as some of the other builds. (I knew an INT/WIS Mage a long time ago, and he complained that despite the larger mana pool, he was STILL spamming pots :/ )

Pure INT is what I call the "Artillery Build." Nothing but power, no speed, no larger mana pool, just a build to maximize the damage you can produce. Very effective, and seemingly the standard build among mages.

The choice of build is yours, just remember: If you choose a hybrid build, you choose to take away points from INT, which means that despite the faster casts/larger mana pool/criticals, you will lose some damage potential. Do not let this sway your decisions however, for all builds have their ups and downs. I do however, based off a personal opinion, do not recommend an INT/MEN/WIS build, you do not get the maximum potential of the effects you are trying to get. (again, just a personal opinion)

Good Luck, Mages ^^

Seems like I will stay as only naive mage with mixed build xD INT:MEN:WIS that is.
I will wait, maybe hybrids will get its old glory someday ^^

hahah no one see me when i say put more pow then needed in
i use magic shelid so much
and i also use pots for grinding concidering exp is varry hard for me>,>

now i can grind for maybe a hour and get 20% out of it>,>
and thats in red names
just saying
when ever i bring it up everyones like your on crack
i love it
^^the build not crack
but no one else sees it likei do
i prefere it
