Gm Abusing Their Power [Archive]

Hi i play in epith lvl enchanter. While i was in pvp hanging out GM Dakkon pops out of no where and we mages (enchanters) used fear on him ex: Yassir91,Mageainteazy,lurcan18, and happily a fighter attacks him so i joined in and used fear, he then kills me no one else then he send me to jail which is technically abusing his power hes not suppose to kill players hes suppose to help them and we were just testing if we could do anything on him. And thats not a good reason to put me in jail. I wish to be taken out of jail please :(

If dakkon wants to kill you in pvp then it's fine @_@ It is only pvp, you don't loose exp and it's only harmless fun.
And are you sure he sent you to jail for no reason? Maybe you were abusing him for killing you.
I'm sure the GM's don't randomly pick on players or 'abuse thier power'.
If you have a problem with being in jail though pm Fiesta_Help. That's the GM shared inbox and they'll try to help :)

I've heard this story hundreds of times on game forums. More often than not you "forgot" to mention the part where you were doing illegal activities or chewed out Dakkon for killing you in, God forbid, a place where you fight other people. Who'd've thought?

Before you decide to rant and complain on the forums, you should think through how much of a fool you would make of yourself. Posting on the forums doesn't do anything but lose you standing in the community. This isn't a public matter, and most people won't even acknowledge the post anyways.

If you've a problem it's best to tackle it privately with someone who can <i>actually</i> do something to help resolve the problem instead of seeking pity.

Sorry... I have nothing to really say other than that. If everyone else was attacking and he put only YOU in jail, that tells me you were doing something no one else was doing... what could that have been, hm?

There's always two sides of the story, but each person tends to only tell their own. Hard to sympathize with you if the other side of the story isn't know. Now, I'm sorry to say, but I'm willing to bet you did something to deserve it. Just wait out your punishment, and you'll be set free. But, if you really feel you have been wronged, you can PM Fiesta_Help with your story.

Im InstallWizard from server Epith and i was there in pvp when that happends....Dakkon came and we all atack him just for fun. then i fear him, he say....."If anyone fearme again...ill suspend his account for 3 days"...and SlLVER ( the guy who got jailed ) fear him once again.
after that, he send him to jail .

You are right Uzu there are 2 sides. What the poster forgot to mention was that I had instructed EVERYONE to NOT attack or fear me as I was trying to work. After some time had passed the poster (from what I could determine) decided to disregard what I had said and casted a fear on me anyway. I am very tolerant as most players could attest. Except when soemone interferes with my work. So that is my side, and what I saw. What is the truth? well I will leave that for the players to determine.

You are right Uzu there are 2 sides. What the poster forgot to mention was that I had instructed EVERYONE to NOT attack or fear me as I was trying to work. After some time had passed the poster (from what I could determine) decided to disregard what I had said and casted a fear on me anyway. I am very tolerant as most players could attest. Except when soemone interferes with my work. So that is my side, and what I saw. What is the truth? well I will leave that for the players to determine.

I must admit, I do find you very tolerant.. you tried lots of options to help me with one of my problems (which I still thank you for)

First post the player said Dakkon poped out of nowhere.. so in turn he would have had to been there when Dakkon said it

i think wat takako means is. WAT IF. not neccasrly talking about this time. takako might mean if someone else was not there and he/she did it. i believe that would change everything. atleast in my opinion.

Either way, no matter what happened I feel like this probably should be directly addressed to the GM's through Fiesta_help. No one in this forum can get you out of jail except them, our pity or our sympathy anger *which no offense, I don't really feel* can't help you.
But by posting a thread such as this you neither help your case nor do you make yourself look good. Next time keep the issue where it started ya?

nice name btw, I like it... Thanks for the post that is actually the ideal solution.

I just want to add that yes we are all human and GMs or CSRs do make mistakes once in a while. All it takes is a "can we please talk about it" type of a PM or in game whisper and it should be resolved.

Edit: Silver, I just looked up all your characters on Epith, you're no longer in jail.

So since this is resolved, maybe we can close this thread. Please PM me if you have any concerns. Thanks.
