Personally, I think it would be better if the STA does not only add 10hp/point but also adds +1 to defense for each point and gets bonus points(+2def) for every 4 points added to stamina.

agreed (might need balancing more, but i agree on the STA increasing defense front).

Yeah, I do agree with that. ;3 Early in CB -- They had mentioned MEN giving stats to physical defense. But quickly changed it after players started noticing it wasn't adding anything.

This isn't a bad idea at all. ^^

I suggested loooong ago since the "famous" MEN patch... like adding a slightly bit of def, say an extra def point every 4 or something like that... but that was the last answer on the post and noone seemed to have listened to it...

anyway, 1 extra def point for every 1 sta and 2 as bonus for every 4?? dont u think it's a bit too much?

Adios!

I don't think its too much. For instance, if you put 4 points in either STA or POW, what would you rather have? 6 defense points vs. 40 damage? It just makes each SOS class distinct, especially in terms of build.

add 4 more sta point and u get lvl2 bless def... then people complains about aoers >_> that'd bring more aoe madness, I didnt say ur idea is bad, just said it's too much...

Adios!

True. Though we will see different builds (Pure POW/Pure STA and HYBRID)But then again, it will costs you(you need 4 lvls) to get the bonus for STA. Also, the way you allocate your stats will directly influence your PVM as well as PVP. And don't forget, to reset your stats, you need to use real money($10-20). So its your choice and its better to choose wisely in the end.

I saw yesterday a post on fighter's forum about blazing and if it's worth the wisdom ie for blazing lvl4 they need 18 wisdom, then someone proposed to invest those 18 points in sta so they'd have a perm pseudo-self-blazing(lol too many prefixes xD)
so that would add 26 def points... madness x_X

I like ur idea and mine as well (the MEN one), but having less reward for points invested would make different builds appear anyway, plus u r almost suggesting a new meaning for STA, cause It'd add a lot of def and the STA idea is to add HP (not very sure what I'm talking about in the last sentence lol, but I think u got my point :))

Adios!

if STA added physical defense and WIS added magical defence it would make PVP more interesting.

it would make the AOE problem worse cuz ppl will be able to mob ranged monsters too x.x no map would be safe

I agree, IMO i think it would be very over powered, one mofe def point means a lot. people spend money on xens,2 xen for+2 defpoints for every equipment (10lvls). and that is stillnot enough, people will risk goingto +5 just for 2 more def. now a permanent extra def is worth a LOT, a extra xen per 10 levels. as stated before it wouldun balance AOE more significantly, allowing people to collect much harder maps, and so increase the AOe problem.

actualy IMO i think the cloak of love is actually bad for the game balance, it creates a HUGE gap between the "have's" and "have nots", it crowds up the high level maps with AOE, and means that anyone with semi-decent equipment can AOE easily.

IMO i think that it is a good thing to have to work for super equoipment to be able to AOE, it gives an incentive for people to become goodmerchants to fund their ability to AOE(which in turn gives more money and exp), so giving more motivation to the economy. i know there are many people reliant on the cloak of love, and probably hateme for saying this... but i think the game would be more dynamic without it, and everyone is then facing the same challenges. succeeding and overcoming challenges gives people a feeling of accomplishment, giving people something to strive for.

and as research has shown, challenge based learning is one of the three main aspects that attracts people to this type of game.
