RIDICULOUSLY hard to level up...
I'm surprised to see high levels in this game...
Speaking of which, what's the highest level you can get to in this game anyway...
I ENJOY this game a lot....like a lot....and I've only been playing for nearly a week....I've thought about quitting because it's insane trying to get your level as soon as you hit Lv. 15.....Im 21 and I'm LITERALLY stuck....
This game really lacks on MONSTER EXP, because MOST of the time, if not all the time, you're only doing quests to get EXP....I don't see why there would be 4 classes if more than 85% of your EXP comes from quests....Like, say if your a mage, and there's someone else that's a fighter....You both have ups and downs with goods and bads....But it really DOESN'T matter because you aren't really KILLING anything, you're just busy trying to finish your quest so you can get your EXP, then repeat, and repeat....and repeat...Until one day you'll feel like me....Basically this game is all about quests, like the WHOLE idea is to do quests. I'm not saying you HAVE to do the quests...But who WOULDN'T if you LITERALLY cannot level up in PvM....The EXP is horrible...Why don't they just make monsters give a fair amount of EXP to where one can choose to JUST kill monsters or do both quests and PvM and still level up at an uberly close rate...Even right now, doing quests for level is unbelievably hard....
Literally there's no point in playing this game if all you're ever going to do are quests for level because PvM is LITERALLY IMPOSSIBLE to get yourself a few levels...I understand that high levels go SOLO...But again, I'm BARELY Lv. 21 WITH the help of quests...and it's already hell....I can't possibly imagine getting to 40....
(No offense to anyone, I just wanted to say what was in my mind).

Quests are designed to help the players level, not become a hindrance. You don't have to do the quests but if you do choose to just kill mobs instead of following quests, that's your decision and the repercussion of it? Lower EXP gain. There is no disadvantage to doing quests and I don't see why you would rather fight random mobs rather than follow quests, but if that's your decision, fine, but don't complain about it when it was your choice in the first place to accept that lower EXP gain path.

well...if you don't do quests, you won't get fame to buy alchemy stones....
Also...it's not supposed to be quick and easy to get to a high level -it's supposed to take time and dedication to your character. If you want to level up fast, beg for powerleveling (but that won't make you a good player...just a high level one)
I recommend you get a few friends you like to hang around with and talk to...if all you do is concentrate on level...you will never be happy and end up quitting alot sooner (especially if you cap).

I can understand what you mean. I had an extreamly hard time as a low level mainly because I didn't know what I was doing. Now that I've gained more experience, I know that there are these maps called abyss's where mobs are reletively weak along the lines of defence and offence and give GREAT exp (some of them up to 5x the experience of mobs the same level outside of that map.) To get to these maps, go to Elderine, find the guard behind Item Merchant Nina, talk to him, and on the map he brings you to, find the guard that will bring you to your levels Abyss. Get used to going here a lot because when you get to a high level (probably lv 50+) you will basicly live in these places.
Players binefit more at higher levels when partying up because mobs will usually be too strong for a mage or archer to handle so they need a fighter to take the damage while the mage or archer deals damage
I hope this changes your view on the game. :)
Edit: I forgot to mention that in these maps, other players can attack you freely. In the lv 20-29 abyss map, the players use it for PvP a lot so you are at risk of being randomly attacked by someone. I find this extreamly annoying since it wastes the scrolls I was using. :/

Thank you so much for understanding, and again, I've only been playing for not even a week yet so I'm what you call a noob....But I have lots of experiences with other games and most of them don't have this many quests or is this hard to level up...

lvl MOAR before u make big statments like that my friend. when u get to lvl 30, killing monsters becomes more and more necessary. at lvl 50, Abyss becomes your new home....quests are only helpful in the beginning and slowly only act as nudges to get that % up. hope i helped.

With the new quests and quest xp boost from the last patches its very easy to get to level 30 in 3-4 days without playing 24/7.
Before (month ago or so) quests were not enough, so grinding on mobs was a necessity. Sometimes the quests were not even worth the bother with the low xp they gave. Back then I managed to get my fighter at level 18 for about 3-4 hours gameplay and that was without any money and support from my other alts. And I was mainly grinding on mobs for materials, occasionally finishing a quest. You just have to know what and where to grind on. The higher you go, the harder it gets, quests start give you smaller and smaller % of the xp you need to level, so you will be stuck with grinding and searching for good spots to train. Parties always help.

1. Fiesta is one of the easiest to level games.
2. It's true that the reason why it is so extremely easy to level are the quests.
3. DO THE QUESTS and don't complain. This game is about questing and many people love it because of that. If you prefer hard grinding than play any other MMORPG because ALL other MMORPGs have that. Sorry that Fiesta is so unique and great. >_>
Sidenote: I hope you realize that killing mobs is part of the quests anyways.

WOW are you actually SERIOUS?!?!?! this is hands down the EASIEST game to lvl in of any MMO i've ever been a part of. It was even easy to grind when outspark first came out with this game. Since this game began over a year ago (in english) the GM's have made MINIMUM 3 updates to make this game easier. from opening new areas (abyss), making quest experience ridiculously high from already easy quests, to multiplying the exp in Trumpy remains four fold. Anyone who is complaining how hard to lvl in this game has obviously not played enough MMO's to know how much time you actually have to put into them. I would like to know what other game can a hardcore player get from lvl 1 to cap in under a month. I know i cant think of any. People who are complaining about this are to me jsut asking for free exp. and one last point is that you dong have to grind a single mob to get from lvl 1 to 30 (aside from mobs you need to kill for the quests and mobs in the way of quest mobs). I bet almost all of the high lvl players will agree with what i just said.
P.S. the quests are meant to make the game easier, you dont have to do them.

Leveling does seem hard from 20 - 30 (having made a new archer myself) but it gets better. Once you can start Aoeing with a party, it picks up alot. Usually, you can get about 1 level a day until 40. That's pretty much what I did. That's not terribly bad though, because that's only grinding on mobs. I never do quests. I much prefer to kill more mobs, gets more mats, more greens, etc. When you think about it, by the time you visit the NPC, travel to the mob, kill those mobs, travel back, get exp, then go back to train again.......You could have simply stayed training in one spot and saved alot of travel time. The only bad thing is, you miss out on fame and free money from quests.
Once you hit level 30, go to the abyss. I don't recomend the lvl 20 abyss for a simple reason....It's filled with noobs -_- Seriously...Pretty much all the people I have met in there started randomly attacking me. In the higher level abyss people don't usually do this, so stay away from the lvl 20 abyss, imo.
This game seems to focus more on aoe at higher levels and in the abyss, and it really doesn't seem like grind either, it's fun. You get like a room full of mobs on you, kill them, and collect all the drops while gaining tons of EXP.
Just spam Kingdom Quests if you're tired of training. They are fun, give decent exp, and can be redone every 2 hours. You can actually cheat a bit and do goldhill then mara runs for a little bit.

dude omg...
there was a patch to make level 1 - 30 obtainable JUST DOING QUESTS
it does get harder
personally if you're stuck at level 15, you must really be impatient or suck
at level 20 there is the 1st abyss you can join
EASY kills EASY exp EASY money (they drop more items)
and the damage you take is less
If you're new to the game I reccommend you choose Fighter or Cleric as your first character class
Mages die lots with lack of defense/hp (squishy), and Archers deal less damage (also classed as squishy, to an extent).
wait till you're level 70 and need 10 million+ exp for 1 level
Then you'd have the right to complain

You must have the worst bad luck for leveling then because the game makes it easier to level up than most others out there. They even dumbed it down even more and yet it's still "to hard" for you? Woooooooooooow, that kinda says something about the player.

I think you guys totally missed the point the OP wanted to make.
What the OP wants to say is that he wants to level up without doing quests because he thinks quests are annoying. And you all should actually agree to the fact that leveling without quests is hard in Fiesta.
But my point still stands, if you don't like doing quests, then play another MMORPG.
The reason why Fiesta is the easiest to level up MMORPG are the KQs and Quest rewards. If you don't like doing those you're screwed. :p

Quests are optional. they help you gain fame and extra money and some xp to help you on the way.Mmorpgs are about tactics and figuring ways on how to lvl. At lvl 21 you should bein hurning hill. Try finding a party it help take down ghigher lvled monsters.
Ryokosha

I wouldn't really say that quests are optional. You won't get any fame and important items without them and it takes 5 times longer to level up even with a good party if you don't do the quests.
But I like it like that. The only thing that Fiesta is really missing is an Episode Quest that keep continueing through the whole game and let's the story develop.

well the man has an point . when u hit an x7 lvl to y0 ur quest are low in number and u need to grind like an mad man. i agree in the sense that mobs give low exp for highes lvles that must grind respectiv mobs, but from lvl x1 to x7 the game is excelent

You can level from 1-30 by just doing quests. If you are having issues with just getting past your 20s, then I'd suggest a different game. It's only going to get worse. I think I have about 12mil exp to gain to get to 71. So you definitely got it good.
If you are having problems doing your quests, then party up with other people to make it go by easier.
They increased the exp rewards for all of the quests to make it easier, and more casual to play.
If you don't like to do quests, you're going to miss out on a lot of help leveling wise, and money.
But if you want to grind your way through, you're going to have a tough time.
At early levels, you're going to have tons of quests. This is designed to help you. But as you get higher in level, these quests start to dwindle. And most of us at higher levels get quite annoyed when we have about 2 quests, and then millions of exp to grind up.
So if you want to grind your entire way through this game, go ahead. But it's not going to get easier.
I'd suggest spending your time in the Abyss for level 20 to level if you're going to skip out on the quests.

If you hate quests and grinding, here's the answer KINGDOM QUEST :). I've always thought leveling sucked until i figured out how to do a KQ. I think you haven't been introduced to it, because it then gets majorly better. I'm sure that everyone who has complained at around level 10-30 have never done one. Have you done one?? By doing goldhill kq (it's for level 20-32) for 30 minutes, you gain 3k exp!! That's something not to complain about, and i thought it rocked at that point! That would probably add another 30% (or more) to your exp.
A maximum of 15 people can enter a kq (depends actually, robo has 20) and you work together to win (there's a certain task in each kq, think of kq as a mission, and a fighter has the highest hp and def for taking damage against bosses [because mages would get one hit ko] and clerics to heal the fighters, + mages and archers to stay back and do their best at attacking [well, they are the best damage dealers]).
In gold hill, you have to kill the gold robber boss in the end.
The way to enter the kq (kingdom quest) is to look at the hour glass situated next to your mini map. Click it, check kq times (you'll get what i mean) and wait until the time is right, and when it says recruiting, click participate.
If you haven't done a kq, you should. If you already have, then you can choose whether to keep on playing, but by the way you talk, i think you haven't tried one, seriously.
If you think what i have said was confusing, then type it up on the net on google (or just go to fiestafan.com) and try to find a kingdom quest guide, it'll help you and show you better on how to enter and what exactly a kq is.

Thats not true at all....u obviously havent even hit lvl 60. This game isnt about quests. its about having a good time doing whatever the heck u want. Quests are there to help out nubs in the begginning and slowly begin to take on the role of mere nudges to get u on your way to earning that 10million Exp you need

I remember when they bumped up the quest exp last time....I had been grinding my rear end off trying to get to 30 on my fighter (no quests left) and get 3 levels ahead of my friend, I made it, and got to 32, actually. I rubbed his face in it -he'd said I wouldn't be able to level before he could (it helped that he A) spent alot of time talking, and B) got grounded for 2 days)....the next day he turned in a bunch of quests and jumped to 29, then levelled again to 30 within the hour (his exp bar stopped at like 80%).....that sucked...

This is the first and ONLY RPG I have ever played, unless you count Civilization IV. That's how much I know...
That said, being only in the 16-20 range with my characters (one of each), I can't say that I'm very bothered with how fast they are moving up. In fact, I think it's pretty reasonable.
The only gripe that I have is that I can't simply go "gathering" stuff by killing little monsters, because I want to be able to do that to get leathers, dust, meat, and other materials so that I can make scrolls and enhancement stones. I can see how folks have to buy other's unwanted junk to make anything.
I'd rather just gather it myself by "hunting" monsters without having to be on any sort of quest (and without the intent of leveling-up at all--just wanting to get stuff to make other stuff with it). That is the only beef that I have.

To tell you the truth, most online games are like that. What would be the fun in advancing if every thing was easy to attain?

in actuallity it takes ROUGHLY 9 hours to get to level 30 fromlevel 1 which i dont find diffcult at all plue this being 1-30 is nothing but quest now i dont see why its hard for you unless you leech a lot which wont be good you leech you wont have money you wont have the things you need in the game thus its VERY balanced and i know this because i actually have dont it on my own free will and i own a high level :P i luvs my 71 Cleric
edit: that being said my 71 cleric is hard and i managed to get a lot of exp from doing random things thus i suggest doing Repeat quest and a lot of them save those other questies up :P

I accept the quests because, usually, the mobs I grind at the time to level are what you need to kill anyways. Like killing two birds with one stone.
Other then that, Fiesta does have a lot of quests, but it's NOTHING compared to another game I played called Guild Wars. That game is literally made of quests....you can't even go to different areas without doing the various quests.

Just use your knowledge from other games that you have played. It is very possible to get to level 30 in only 24 hours of being in the game over all. The original level cap for this game was actually level 59 for the first few months. Then came the cap raise to 79 and the opening of the cash shop soon after. Next month the cap will be 89. It is slow levelling, yes. When you get to higher levels you can still manage a level a day, but it takes quite a bit of work.

Have you ever played Maplestory? That's the ultimate grinding game. Period.
Can you say GRIND when you get 0.005% per mob?
Fiesta has, to me the BEST levelling system. Its SOOOO easy to level up :(

First of, Quests are designed to help players in:
1. EXP
2. Money
3. fame
4. Items
5. Wepons
6. Gears
Second, you can always go solo or in a party in the following
places , If LV21 monsters give like 15EXp, 30 EXP per kill, the
Abyss Phinos in LV20 Abyss Cave gives you 100+ exp that means
fast level-up.
Thierd, If you started independently, you will grow strong and you will
manage your character build in the way you would prefer it to be, like
Being a TANKER, Damage Dealer, Supporter..etc.
Think this over, its true when you reach LV60+ your mission is to how to get
3,560,750 EXP to get to LV61.

ALL MMORPG'S have quests, you can choose to grind if you want, but it is NEVER the fastest way to level up. Have you played WOW? it can be an absolute pain in the butt to level in that game, Fiesta is soo much better.
I got stuck in the 2x range and was starting to get bored, did a couple of KQ's and found I was almost 30, then it was smooth sailing until I hit 40. You need to persevere a bit, and try other tactics, like going to abyss with a few friends and do an AOE run in there for a bit, and also get together with friends and do quests, or just team up with others in the area and hopefully make more friends.
This game isn't all about questing and grinding, its about having fun, and if you are not then take a break for a bit or quit the game, an FPS is probably better for you then.

I must ask, what class are you?
Further more, there are four aspects to this game and you seem to have only connected with 1 of them. Quest, Abyss, PvP, Community (in no particular order). If you don't know much about abyss, here's a previous post I made today:
Abyss 101:
Location: Elderine, behind item merchant Nina's building (coordinates G8)
LVL REQUIREMENTS: Abyss's are broken down into lvl 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70-79. You simply need to find the right guard for you lvl. An error message will appear if you pick the wrong guard.
Q & A: Abyss was created so that you could pvp (player vs player). When you attack someone in Abyss they don't lose exp as long as YOU KILL THEM. If a monster has the finishing blow that person will lose exp. As a general guideline, if you want someones area and are going to kill them for it, TELL THEM. This gives them fair warning to leave.
Just as a side note: You see countless threads and a number of wars fought over abyss "drama". To be honest, what happens in abyss should stay there. Killing a weaker party for a better spot is how it goes.
Abyss has excellent exp and you can lvl from 20-25 in about 2hrs if you try.
PvP is fun if you don't takes things to heart. High lvls are usually there (btw: the highest lvl right now is 79) and they like to kill most moving objects.
It's in PvP that you meet ppl and there in discover the best aspect of fiesta.
Stick with it and you'll do fine.

i found it incredibly easy to level actually.
do the quests and a couple of KQ, and you'll zoom right up from 1-20.
however, i have to admit that without them, you'd have to grind 24-7 to level. they should perhaps raise the EXP you get from monsters a bit, but doing quests is the point of early levels i guess. it gives you big pushes in leveling up.
but what are you finding difficult in leveling? the lack of exp? not being able to kill?
if it's lack of exp, it's what quests are for. you can't get around it unless you want it to be difficult.
if it's not being able to kill, then check your build, stat allocation, and skills.
do some more KQ. it really helps with early 20s.
heh, but it's not like i can talk. highest is level 23 cleric who can't rev ...

leveling in fiesta is much easier now after the patch
For lower level, doing KQ will help alot
like etc, if u need 30k, go do Goldhill 10 time and u will level
1 day do like 2-3 time, within 3 days u will level
for later stage it quite impossible, like lvl 40 onward
u need to do quest in order to level fast
for early 50 u can grind in BOD. They give good exp if u solo
(better than NOX in uraga)
Try to go for coll and harkan (dungeon i mean) they give relatively good exp
if u dun mind wasting potion, go for prisoner, they come in pairs, so u waste more potion and higher risk of dying. lol
For lvl 40, it good idea to go AOE in dungeon also. Solo not as much exp, but AOE with a party give u much mroe
Offer to help for those who need GK, also give u good exp.
If u r questless, look for party to AOE.
For level 40 and below is not necessary as quest give good exp, and with KQ u level easily
Lvl 40 to 50 u can AOE golbin captain and werebear, they give relatively good exp, or go into dungeon and AOE. U will gain alot extra exp in maying 1 hr of AOE
For lvl 50, if u can, u solo in dungeon for the exp is ok, of course if got AOE party is much better, mroe exp. (Appearantly is hard to find AOE party for lvl 50) Very few people in dungeon always.
Dun go for Plvl, it only made u become a weak player
Unless u can solo high level mob. Then u DIY
if u ask for party in high level grd, and u plvl, it only made u suffer more in future.
Do quest , go KQ and grind ur own level MOB is the best. This is wat this game is about.
