I think the "wannabe CLs", although I do not like to call them that, are just bored people looking for other ways to fill their time rather than in game. So it'd great they're using this time to help, yourmojo, you should be more grateful and appreciative of that.

And they updated the rule about advertising games. Now, you aren't supposed to post links to anything not directly related to Outspark. That's why it was removed, even though you didn't actively advertise other games.

I still am of the opinion it's stupid rule. It makes it seem like OutSpark is trying to keep the rest of the internets away from this site. Almost like an insecurity issue. Hahah.

It's simply for business purposes. Why would a company allow links advertising other games that wouldn't bring any profit to them? There is a very good reason for every rule that is enforced by Outspark. Either it's for business purposes, or for our safety, or a bit of both.
This thread was closed, not sure why it was reopened. At the time I guess there wasn't anything to deem it close-able.

I had deduced that part on my own and it makes sense. But no YouTube links, links to a random website that had a funny article, and numerous things that aren't going to get anyone killed or maimed get removed. That's where I take issue.

Either I always find the lax forums or this one is extremely strict. Oh, and if you need protecting you shouldn't be on the internet in the first place. -Cough-

It's a device to prevent people from posting lewd pictures/vids/links on the site. Since they can't personally check every link, the only way to effectively control links is to prevent them all. You can still PM links if someone asks for them.

It's a device to prevent people from posting lewd pictures/vids/links on the site. Since they can't personally check every link, the only way to effectively control links is to prevent them all. You can still PM links if someone asks for them.

Every link doesn't have to be checked by staff, most inappropriate links would get reported by the members before any CLs even get a chance to look in the thread.

That still means that at least several people would have to have clicked the link to find out what it is. But by prohibiting any links, that isn't a problem anymore.
