I have a new hatred for the "hoes needed" quest

Seriously, I'm pulling my hair out over this quest.
It might be because I'm an archer.
It might be because mobs of ghosts and hobs kill me.
It MIGHT BE that the drop rate of hoes is HORRIBLE.
SO I'M STUCK FIGHTING ENDLESS HOARDS OF HOBS.
I'M GOING TO BE STUCK AT LEVEL 38 FOREVEEEER. D:<

I wish leveling was as fast as level 12 was. T^T The quests were so easy...and you didn't need to fight over 100 monsters just to get 40 drop items off of them. D:<

I rely on missing hits and my skills.
And I'm hunting at Vine Tomb.

Heh - ok, as a solo archer, remember this number one rule:

Always make sure your back is clear!

Find a safe spot you know you won't be ambushed and draw your enemy there, poison shot and damaging them as much as possible while moving back to your spot. If done right, they should have already taken significant damage and now you can fight them at melee with you at full strength.

If you've chosen your spot well, you should avoid most adds. Boost your agility and armor with scrolls and ping away.

This is the basic principle of kiting and one, if you do well, will allow you to sail through several quests if not full levels.

As for the drop rate, yes it can be slow but at least you're geting xp out if it.

Er...Well...From my past experiences trying to fly a kite, it usually involved me running around like a hyperactive chicken. When you think about it, the name is quite fitting :D

Hobs drop the hoes, and they are located in Vine Tomb :]

What server are you on? If your on Epith hit me up on my cleric I'll help you. I hated that quest too. And I never knew the term was kiting because I always with any character hit and ran like hell to a safer location so spawns do own me. :D

One word....AoE party oh wait 2 word but one is not a word. AoE party is a group of people who gather as much monster as they can and kill them fast. 2 cleric, 1 fighter, 1 mage, and one archer provide a power party and nonstop as long they work hard. I'm an one of the AoE archer of bijou server who can tank like 20+ goblin with one cleric lv 47+. If you want to tank then get a build 1:1 spr and end. with lots of end cloth and end scrolls. Max out power and cool down on multi shot and your good to go. I prefer +6 weapon or higher to hold mob and protect the cleric. ^_^
If all the poeple in your party need hoes then the number of hoes drops is high.

I used to have a picture of me trying to get like 15+ hoes on the ground lol but delete it.

My archer repeated that quest many times and didn't have a problem either.

You just have to find a safe spot to pull the mob to so you don't get ambushed.
