Ok,I started this game and immediatly wanted to be a mage(as in any other game).I usually have fun with it,and I did.FOR ABOUT A WEEK.It was SO boring being a mage because well after 5 lvl u get a new skill,and that alone is stupid.(mages are supposed to have a lot of spells to try out).I had to go through monster after monster using like two spells.Then ya get another spell, big whoop,it doesnt make it too much funner because after u get that spell ur other one sucks and u never use it again.SO YOUR BACK GOING THROUGH MONSTER AFTER MONSTER USING LIKE TWO SPELLS!!!!
So if your new,i warn you now DONT BE A MAGE!

lolz, squire get one skill for starters....
for some skills, it actually is useful
take Magic shield for example, i used to think its pointless, now i cant aoe without it!
just be patient and have fun.

You have one main skill. New skill after 5 levels. Most of which you don't use.

I have only a few things to say, and if I appear rude, I apologize in advance.

1) You're being stupid.
2) Read the forums a bit more thoroughly next time. There is a novice class change thread detailing what you're in for when you change from Xenian class to whatever other class. Add to that the apprentice level up list, and the basic magicians guide.
3) The skill system works for EVERY class that way. Each class gets their new skill after 5 levels. And actually mages (and scouts) are more luckier since they have two primary attack skills, one to slow a monster down and another to kill it with, and have to use it with finesse. Check the other classes, they all have only one primary attack sill. Neo's spam threaten, Squire's spam Slash, and Acos use IQ
4) You can't really judge a class after playing it for only one week. Play a class for longer, level up more, see all the pros and cons of it, before making assumptions.

Part of me wants to see how long it'll take for there to be a thread by you saying Neos suck, and you're making a new character with a new class.

Once again, Sorry if I sound rude, but you just seemed to jump headfirst in without double-checking anything.

But Fang's right... you should try out different classes before coming to such an early assumption :p
Ive tried them all and finally found my favorite one. In time you will too :D

Well I was a bit mad (actually "a bit" would be an understatement but meh!) at him for making assumptions without even playing appy for a good amount time before judging. And apparently it seems to have showed.

And well really someone was bound to do it. After all he's saying that Mages suck. He worded it subtly, but the hint is quite easy to get. And of course he's saying this in the mage forum. You expect me to give him cookies for that?

True...healer class needs a lot of patience which I don't even have...until now...I learned to be patient because of my aco o.O...and yeah maybe he should choose healer class so he can at least learn to be patient...

Actually for levelling for all the classes you need patience once you pass a certain level. It's hell. Pure Hell.

I can't even begin to imagine how much you acolytes/clerics/priests have to go through to level up your characters. It must be hell considering you guys are created as such a party dependant class. (Can't have a worthwhile soloing session even if you guys want it.) And still you guys manage to do that.

So yeah props to you guys.

I haven't even played it yet, but judging with what everyone is saying, I think you should just accept the fact that this is how this game works. If you can't be compatible with it then try finding a game you are compatible with. :) I suggest you try to give Mage another try, after hearing what the posters said. ^^;

The one thing aco class has tho is the healing and buffing, which kinda helps when soloing. I myself have to give props to all Apps that solo and reach high lvls... with no buffing unless a passing aco helps them out a bit.

I have to aggree with him x3 acos can at least heal themselves, and our starting 6 wis points really help. apps (lower lvl) usually cant find pts and have to solo for a long time.
ive tried using an app and an aco.
trust meh, app is SO much harder >w< when i try to lvl my app im always covered by a blue fog, MP POT SPAM FTW~~~

D: at least aoers and high lv party's NEED acos let a mage shout looking for party or aoe and c how many ppl laugh T_T runs away to go solo by the other mages xD

oh and to comment on the fist page not many skills indeed but thats why u gotta go mage mannnnn ima mage and i use every skill i have equipped on my full hothey bar i spam so many skills and use so many different techniques and variations yer head would spin @.@ believe me we have a lot to work with for solo and in party's

Anywho.... moving on, well yeah acos do have heals and buffs (I play an aco too so I'd know) they can't solo past a certain level if they want to, and they have to deal with so many issues including rampant aco-ksing that goes on, or slaver parties. T_T

Hence Acos I salute Thee. (Besides Appy/Aco Duo is the best one EVA!)
