LOL i did the same thing....
anyways im lv 36 now and I can solo without it being expensive. You do slightly less damage, have to stone a bit more often, but also get hit slightly less. I think its worth it but im sure many people would disagree.

Spliting up your stat points into three categories is a bad idea in my opinion. You haven't made a fatal error though.

The standard mage build is 25 spr the rest int. I would quit with End for a important reason. I believe someone else said it best so I'll just quote him:

Heres the problem with end mages....
you get .5 defense and 5 hp per end, but on an item, you get say a 30 end shirt, you get 30 defense, 150 hp. 30 stat points wasted on recieving half the defense bonus and the same health bonus. Reason? End was meant for other classes, we do not have shields, we do not get a block rate bonus. Dont do end.

My advice, quit with end now because it's a waste of good stat points.

As per empowerment:

Max dmg and cool down on magic missile (this spell will never get old)
Most guides would suggest maxing dmg and cool down on fire bolt.

after that save your points til 49 when you get magic blast

If I helped at all rep me ^_^

hmm i will just get END to 15 and then stop and then 25 spr rest int.
why max CD on magic missle? its already 1.8sec and i use combo magic missle, ice, mm, fire, mm, lighting its good enough rite?

By making the cooldown shorter you can cast it quicker, without it theres a delay. Plus if you find yourself having to do alot of hits on a monster you'kl find yourself stuck waiting for cooldowns, where you spam mm1 a couple times till you can use your skill again.

maybe a bit off topic, but i just start slammin' keys...don't care what i fire next as long as cooldown is done....LOL

Anyone else??

well "slamming keys" is how you start, eventually you develop a set order to casting.

P.S. I used to slam keys too

Pure INT or x INT:25 SPR.

You will find that a cooldown for MM at higher levels is obsolete, since you have many more spells to choose from.

hmm u shouldn't split ur skill points on 3 attributes >.<
u'll deal less dmg this way
most common build is 25 SPR, rest INT
so i suggest u should start a new mage
lv 18 is pretty easy to achieve in a couple of hrs
as for skill empowerment, read maiya's guide xD

i believe how a person sets out their points is up to them...you cant suggest he make a new mage because he spilt his points 3 ways...cause that's what i do and it works fine for me

I would like to point out that putting free points into END it is much different than getting +END from equipment. I don't know the exact mathematics behind it but the extra defense received from +END armor increases the defense seen on the main character screen. However, the defense received from +END free stat points is taken directly off the damage enemies deal to you. This means that if you have 15 free points in END, that you would automatically receive 7.5 less damage. The other type of defense has a much less potent effect.

you can continue with your build and then take off the 1 point in spr when you reach lv30
(seeing that you get stat reset scrolls)
