I just started playing today. this isnt my first mmo but ive always had trouble on previous games i played making friends to party with and such so i thought for once id try posting on the forum for the game im playing.
for referance ive played ragnarok, maple, pso, psu, fiesta....and some others but the names escape me. 80% of the time im a cleric so i dont think ill change here although i am a bit torn.
my in name game is Aren Woka and, for anyone who might get the referance, im torn on what holy path to take. cleric and be a pure healer or go the route of the templar which woudl fit the name slightly better. for anyone who has played both classes id be curious on opinions so i know how to start allocating stats heh.
anyway hope to see some of you in game sometime. ciao

Ultimatly the choice is up to you.
Personally I prefer clerics due to their awesome advantages in the healing and buffing arts. Of course youd have to be dedicated to being a support character, which is fine with me, but is it fine for you?
Oh, and welcome to the game, hope you enjoy it ^^

eh... Templar all the way. That class is pretty independent of any aco/clerics for buffs and heals. And I guess some ppl like being in the front lines taking care of business.
Also, can a cleric aoe? (not being sarcastic, i really dont know :p)

Clerics lack an AoE attack :X

Well thats pretty unfair  considering how necessary clerics are to the party !!! But I know they only support, unlike the Disc/Templars... still tho

well...thanks for the replies....i do like supporting since ive been a cleric in other mmos but...in others they also get some....attack time as well. I have always sorta liked being able to support well AND do some damage assisting too (although here it doesnt seem viable for a cleric...correct me if mistaken)
overall, i like to party more than solo. when i have to solo a lot thats usually when i quit. as for templar ive noticed lots of different ideas for how to put stats where as cleric...its pretty much almost agreed upon that all stats should pour into int....any one have a more static layout for templar?

really long time to lvl up tio cleric. aco is a hard class to play here due to poor defense and inability to solo efficiently. Temp is better because they still have a heal, can get an AOE atk, and dont become party dependent like the clericss/acos do. Depends on what you think your gonna be doing a lot of- Solo? Party? solo i would recomend a disciple to templar, party more i say go aco. Also you could always just be an aco for a while and then change to disc if you get bored.
