Hi I am no admen but I had this same problem and would like to make note of some things and what*I did to fix it.

1.) I have windows VISTA (the root of all evil)

2.) I downlowaded and installed the game letting it make its own shortcut on the desktop (This might be inportent)

3.) On the first instalation it will automaticly start up the game launcher and alow for you to enter your acount name and password. I had no problems here and was able to play the game.

4.) I played for a wile then got off but latter whent back to the game. And got the Fiesta.Bin error

5.) Looked on forms but found no solution but this post had the pics i noted that the person that had pic had Vista also

6.)I tryed to change the compatiblity of the launcher but it could not find the progam because it said the start path was wrong(AND IT WAS!!!!)

7.) I went into the c:\program files\outspark**** Folder and found the launcher icon. I looked at the propertys there and noted that the paths were diferent (Note I instaled this by defalt instalation so the path should be corect if the programs did it corectly: altho knowing VISTA it could have ben VISTA's problem)

8.) I then looked at the pic again of the file path and looked for it on my computer some how it had disapeard (this was strange i just played the game 10 min ago and never deleted any thing)

9.) I unintaled the program and reinstalled it ( ...... long download .... ) this time not letting it make a shortcut to desktop. I then insted of loging in to game I made a* backup of the Fiesta folder that was in the Outspark folder

10.) I tryed to run the game but same problem. BUT the path error for the Fiesta.bin was slitly difernt each time i tryed to run it and the files were not getting auto deleated this time.

11.) I opened up the c:\programfiles\outspark\* folder and there I opend the propertys for the Outspark Launcher (the one with the game pic on it) and whent to compatibility. This time the windows xp service pack 2 was checked and the run as admen was checked I UNCHECKED THEM BOTH clicked aply and ok.

12.) I ran the launcher and it ran just fine now I can get in the game.

I hope this helps some people but mostly I hope this helps the admen fix this problem. Just for a note I HATE VISTA

Im about to try.

I dont think it will though.

OpenWide

Thinking about this.

Changing the compatability with the launcher has nothing to do with finding the Fiesta.Bin.

It didnt work.

Nice try.

II cant bileave this.

Zeus had something correct.

When launching the game, Fiesta deleates its own files.

Look what happend once i tryed to launch the game:

http://i176.photobucket.com/albums/w172/digga1990/prob4.jpg ("http://i176.photobucket.com/albums/w172/digga1990/prob4.jpg")

The whole Fiesta file is gone.

Thats why we can never find the dam file.

The launcher is deleating it.

Now i have to re*-install again.

huang199
08-31-2007, 04:35 AM
So..you got into the game? then when u got out, the whole file was deleted?

OpenWide
08-31-2007, 05:03 AM
No.

I download it.

All the files are there.

I try and log in and get the erro message.

Go and look and all of the files are missing.

huang199

I have this problem, but i have found in the last several days that if you keep on trying you can get in the game, but this morning i have tried over 50 times and cant get in, can this be fixed?

OpenWide

The Outspark team is looking into it.

Cross your fingers.

OpenWide

I found out way the file deleats.

When i set the launcher in compatability to just administrator. Not set to any other mode.

then launch. It asks me do i want to download the latest patch. In teh form of the message: "Do you want to install Fiesta".

I click ok and it completes. Then the whole file "Fiesta" is gone.

=S

I know im not the best at this form thing but here is something that mite work and i only breafly menchend it before. (Cant garente this) But when you install the game DO NOT let it make a shortcut because the shortcut start path that it makes is incorect it will work but it is the one that deleats the file. After the instal close the launcher DO NOT try to log in. Then go to the directory and Make your own short cut to desk top. Be shere that the compatibility is NOT set to XP and Admen (because this was casing the lancher to look for the .bin in the wrong place. ) I hope this is more clear. Bear with me i am not use to placing things on forms. Just trying to help.

i have a potential fix for the fiesta.bin issue

i myself run windows vista basic and have had the error message several times so i tried a few things but i will only post the one that i believe has worked for me

ok so i went onto the properties tab of the fiesta launcher shortcut then went to the compatibility tab, from here i changed the compatability mode to windows xp (service pack 2), then clicked apply, then closed the box.

i then ran the launcher and the launcher did an update for some reason, however i then clicked launch and i got fiesta.bin error.

so i then i went back to the launcher shortcut properties and unchecked run in windows xp (service pack 2) and applied

however when i ran the launcher no update was done but i was able to login and play the game with no fiesta.bin issues.

however there is still the issue of the white screens that appear on the character creating area but thats for a different topic......

anyway i hope this helps those who have had the same problem :):)

I havnt read the entire topic but seeing what Zues007 has said we seem to be doing similar things, i am no techie but there seems to be something wrong with the auto patching/ updating, which seems to be removing the fiesta.bin file.
hopefully the ppl upstairs will find a way

See if you can do a regedit and find where the fiesta launcher is pointing to the bin. It looks as if it's garbled at the end on the launcher.

Can you write me a tutorial?

Hello,

If you are still experiencing this problem, can you please reply to this thread with the following information:

1) When was the first time you experienced this problem?

2) When was the last time Fiesta has worked for you?

3) If you did reinstall the whole client, did the problem remain?

4) What OS are you using?

5) Reboot your computer, restart the Outspark launcher, and what happens?

Please provide all this information as it will help us to solve this problem quickly.

Thank you,

I posted this in the fiesta.bin sticky thread as well. This is all copy/paste.

I received that same fiesta.bin error and what I did to correct it was...

1)Uninstalled the game.
2)Upgraded to Microsoft .NET Framework v2.0
3)Restarted my computer.
4)Then upgraded my ATI Radeon video drivers.
5)Restarted my computer.
6)Reinstalled the game.

My fiesta.bin error went away 12pm this afternoon. The game boots up fine, however, I receive the "cannot connect to servers" error message now. But that's another forum post :D

Hope that helps!

3) Yes, tried 4 times.

4) Windows Vista Home Premium 32bit

5) Same exact error message.

Thanks hope this helps and gets resolved soon.

im having something kindof similar.
im useing xp, and it works fine for the first time i run the outspark launcher,
then when i try to run it again it gives me a runtime error message.
im assuming this means that it deleted some game file after i quit the game (it works again after a reinstall) so could someone explain to me how (if there is any way)
to stop it from doing this?
thanks.

I don't think I will acctually help you, but I have Vista basic on pretty slow laptop and it's running.
I installed the client as administrator, as it should be with shortcut on desktop (I'm using quick start shortcut now, but it's the one from desktop) and every time i'm lunching it I'm using administrator mode.
I really hope you guys will run it.
Good luck!

This is something we are well aware of. Please follow these steps...

1. Uninstall the program.
2. Make sure you delete any traces of the program.
3. Clean out your recycle bin.
4. Restart your PC.
5. Download the newest client file from outspark.com
6. Launch the program from your desktop.

When a fresh clean installation is done correctly it should resolve all your issues.

Thank you,

GM_Murdock
