Well my friend is trying to play Fiesta and he downloaded the game thru patcher.

After he installed the game, he tried running the Outspark Launcher but the error message pops up and says

"the application has failed to start because its side by side configuration is incorrect

please see the application event log for more details"

*How does he fix the problem? help any1?

i'm new to the game and thought i'm computer literate i'm not a computer brainiac, however i was having the same problem and even when i redownloaded with my computer anti-virus off it still would bring up the error and wouldn't run.....

to fix this i ran services.msc and stoped all my McAfee programs, redownloaded and alowed it to run... this seemed to solve my problem.

also i'm runing McAfee (obviously) and windows vista...

hope this helps someone...

thanks

I hate having to create new threads, so I hope you guys won't mind if I use this one, the title should match up to the problem I'm currently having.

The client for OutsparkFiesta.1.2.60b was downloaded and properly installed, but upon clicking the shortcut to the launcher the page loads and I'm brought to "This program cannot display the webpage" (much like a 401 error page). I'm pretty sure the patches and things are to be downloaded if this page was able to connect, but unfortunately it doesn't. I even tried to log in anyways and the message comes up as

"There was a problem logging you in.

Either your username or password was incorrect, or you are not authorized to participate in the closed beta.

(0-0: The Server Returned an Unknown Error (wininet: 0).)"

I'm pretty sure my user name and password's not wrong (else I wouldn't be able to log into the forums and such), so if anyone can help me out with this little dilemma that'd be great.

outspark have linked the 'closed' beta on their download page, they need to update it to 1.2.61 version not 1.2.60b

Hm... 'McAfee'?? Not quit aware of what that is but I'll try shutting its application down if I find it. Vistas compatability seems to be the poroblem witht his program. For those you think they might be able to solve this for sure, there is a way to put Windows Vista to Windows XP on a single program (Simple right click ont he program, go to propeties, and then click the tab "Configuration"... this will allo you to change it to several diffirent Window clients; Windows XP, Windows 2000, even Windows 95)

Thank you for the helpfull hint though! I'll have to try this!
