Lately, I've noticed quite a few spam-bots posting in Eldy. Now, I think we all know that it's unlikely that a level 1 bot managed to walk all that way without being splutted by something, so that means the bots are using scrolls. What do you guys think about the idea of putting a level requirement on teleportation scrolls? I don't mean anything too discouraging, just a small little requirement. Maybe level 5 or 10? Thoughts on the idea?

Nope level 1 can walk all the way to Elderine without getting hit. There is a safe passageway. My alt all finish their quest at level 13 that way.
And if you are careful to Uruga can wait till someone open a road than walk through too. I open one up while doing my quest, the guys just patiently and stop at the right place waiting for me to finish the monsters.

ahtaihk - There is a HUGE difference between level 1 and level 13. The amount of agro you draw has decreased, as has the number of things that can kill you in one hit. Additionally, by level 13 you had already received your free Mover, which allows for quicker (and thus safer) passage.

OK my 1 mage is now in Elderine, can someone suggest a good photo storing spot so that I can put the screen short here?
PS both ahtai and ahtaihk are me.

Regardless, there is still a path that is almost always clear of monsters through the northern part of FoM that leads directly to the Eld gate. It's not a sure thing but more often than not, it's usally safe along the path. xP

ahtai - Umm.... You do realize that taking a screen shot of your mage in Elderine just means that your mage is in Elderine, right....? The fact that level one bots are in Elderine is why I suggested the level requirement in the first place.
Madcharo - I won't disagree that it's possible to get lucky and manage to make the walk, but do you really think that's what the gold selling sites are having their bots do? As opposed to, oh, I dunno... Spending 1s or so and not wasting all that time (you said yourself it isn't a sure thing - scrolls are)? Ya know, since they sell gold and all that...
Anyway, while it might not eliminate the problem, it certainly has the potential to, at the very least, waste a bunch of their time. And it doesn't have a negative effect on the general population. In fact, it would cut down on the number of newbies who use that nifty scroll they just found and end up having to get killed to get back to Roumen.
So I guess my question to you is: Why not? No one has made any sort of actual argument against the idea.

I think it would be nice to log into Elderine without being bombarded with gold selling whispers/chat. Also would be nice to not have to give scrolls away to the unfortunate lowbie who made their way to Sand Hill. Which may or may not just be a scam to trade Sand Hill scrolls for Elderine/Roumen scrolls.
Really, there's no reason to go to Elderine until level 11 so a level 10 requirement sounds like a fine idea to me.

spam bots dont need scrolls they use a program to give them instant rez on the spot, so they just keep going where ever they need to go and keep spamming.

Yeah they just use hacks and stuff to get around, I kept training one in BH once and he would respawn after the Grave Robbers killed him...
Bots will take over Fiesta, they cant die... ._.
