Is a bow or a crossbow better?

I need to find out so my archer is really good.:cool:

they kind of even out...crossbow does more damage, but bow has faster attack...if you are a skill spammer, crossbow is probably better.

I say level an archer to 20... for 2 different people.

use the same build and nothing but stock armor, and weapon. then PvP them.

just an idea for anyone wanting to do such.

at lvl 20 its depending on you

if you like to use 1 or 2 skill and then hit hit hit iwth normal atacks then is bow
if you use skill spamming is better x-bow

seens you dont AoE that much at that lvl is better bow.

for builds like
25spr/rest str = xbow
25dex/rest str = bow
25dex/25spr/rest str = bow (this is my build, at lvl 79 is 44str)

bow > xbow by far if ur full str and u like use PS/AS and normal atacks
any other case or skill spamming (multishot and the other aoe skill) xbow > bow

I dont see a point in using an archer unless youre going to be using skills.
Skill cooldown is independent of the weapon you use, so you might as well go with crossbows for more damage and crit rate.
Multishot/Natures Mist cooldown is more than enough for continuous damage regardless of weapon.
Mind you if your only level 2x/3x you may not be aoeing yet, and might run out of skills to spam XD.
