Does anyone know the exact effect of defense. I realize it helps mitigate damage, but what is it precise effect on mitigation and can that be broken down statistically? IE: 1 = defense = 1% less damage or some such?

We can't really give numbers here, as when a mob hit you, his attack is compared to your defense, and the dmg you recieve is the result of this.


If you prefer algorithm:

1) Mob attack

2)Can he hit you ? (compare attack power*vs defense)

* 2.1) No (attack missed)

* 2.2) Yes

*** 2.2.1) How much dmg did he do ? (complex math using mob max dmg / mob attack / your defense)

***** 2.2.1.1) 0 dmg (attack missed)

***** 2.2.1.2) more than 0 (attack hit)


*As you see, your defense is used 2 times here, to know if you're hitten, and how much dmg you recieve.
