View Full Version : Shift+Z Hint given in game - does NOT work

In game a hint displays on screen that if you are experiencing slow game play, you can hide other characters on the screen by pressing Shift+Z. It didn't do anything for me, or a great mass of people who were also complaining on the chat.

Yah I found that out too. What I could recommend for you is to go into the Game settings part and choose the take out character names, that won't reduce all lag but it'll make things a bit more smooth sailing when running through Roumen or nearby it.

Mine used to work fine in town, but now it doesnt work at all, the streets of town are littered with ppl and their dumb shops all in the road and it makes for a lot of lag, now I can't make them vanish. It's annoying, but not a deal breaker.
Any info on this would be appreciated.

Thats interesting. Yesterday I tried Shift + Z everytime the game started to lag and it really helped. (Plus, it gave me the feeling I was the only one lol)
It worked fine to me. /sites/all/modules/tinymce/tinymce/jscripts/tiny_mce/plugins/emotions/images/smiley-undecided.gif
Btw, left Shift+Z worked, but Right Shift+Z didn't.

If you are IN a party, right click your picture in the top left hand corner of the screen, click "Quit Party" and the "Shift+Z" (hide all chars) ability should work again.

*It takes 6 to 10 tries but shift z eventually works. And it significantly reduces lag in towns.

Yea it does. but the lag makes it harder to use it. That's why it takes longer to use. Especially in roumen.

You can only use it in cities
And you have to use the left shift key on your keyboard, not the right

But i use it in towns but i cant kill monster when im in that mode why is that so because it would be great to train in that mode^^

Go into Game settings and change it manually yourself. Shift+z is probably not assigned on your shortcut menu anyway.

Shift+Z does in fact work. Why do I say that? because "I've" done it before. You must meet certain requirements, and you can't do it while it's cooling down. o_o oh yeah... It's pretty scary too. I only say it's scary because my shortcut removes more than just the character name.

shift z didn't work for me...then it did...then it didn't.
it seems that it works best when there are less people in town, and lags horribly when there are tons around......which kinda makes this a silly feature for when you really need it.
I would love for this to be fixed though, I was delighted when it worked my first time.
