END Points

I thought when you +END you get more def. if thats true how come i added 5 points in end when i job lvled and i still had the same def then when i didnt put in 5 stat points.

I think it takes a while for END to really put an effect on to your defense. So you have to keep on adding bonus points to your END and you defense will slowly rise.

exactly....it takes a loooooooong while
by the time cap raise to 129 with full end i'll have extra 80 def XD

Unless they edited it with an update at some point, END used to decrease damage taken from monsters by one.
So it wouldn't show the defence on your character screen, but you would actually take less damage.
If its true that its now 2 END per 1 def, I'd be quite disappointed ><.

lol but my friend had a cleric and he went full end too and he took less damage then me. I also had better def equips then he did. i wonder what that was about?

Free stat end = .5 Def
End from equips = 1 Def
It should show up on your screen, give it a second or two but it should only raise by 2-3

I already waited for hours and my def still didnt raise though. im not sure if it doesnt show up, but i think ill look closely when i take damage now. =) Ty!
