Visit the forums for each server and read a few posts to get an idea of the type of people that play on that server.

thats another way to know but since I've played since august I know lotsa stuff its funny how when you kill someone in pvp they call ya a nub I mean its pvp thats what you're supposed to do there rofl they just make me laugh and when I die I laugh some more :]. anyway.. just find it out which server is the best for ya

this may be called hijacking a thread but i'll help anyways. Have you tried restarting your launcher? Could just be a minor mess up when the launcher loaded the game.
