I keep hearing or seeing this term alot, but i dont understand the meaning? help?* :)

its basically getting a lot of materials to create items to sell/hoard

Farming is the term used to describe hunting certain materials a lot in order to have a large number of said marterial. Example being if you're needing tough meats and are close to 20, you can farm Ratmen for tough that and other such spawns.
