Idea: Fiesta Convention [Archive]

So vivianne and me were thinking ingame that we would love to meet everyone in one place. IT would awesome! Lol But anyways it came up as an idea as a Fiesta Convention :o That would be cool if they did have one xD Or just an outspark Convention in general. I would buy a Honeying Plushie lol. But I doubt it'll happen til Fiesta/Outspark becomes really really popular :x

That's funny. I was just talking to someone last night, on apoline, that had an idea to have a " convention". It sounds fun to meet some of the people that I play with everyday.

Dude! Imagine meeting your guildmates in real life, then getting to have inside jokes later when you came back to game. I remember doing that when I met my RP buddies at an anime con in Virginia a couple years ago. It was real nice~ And the best part of an outspark/fiesta convention would be that you get to know people from other servers at that event!

Sadly, aside from the imaginative plushies XD; there may not be much merch to buy...

O.o theres a lot of things that could be show

like a pvp battle in a screen making a contest

Great idea, but baby steps. We could start with a booth at a general gaming convention. A con in California might make the most sense, given Outspark's location and the fact that California is where the biggest gaming cons are. And for the record, I nominate Tut to dress up as Teva for promotional issues... ^^

Well cons ARE expensive as posted by Yosei, having a booth as a starting point is a good idea as posted by IcarusFlewTooHigh.

Just that it'll be sad for people living outside of US .
I would love to go for conventions held / events held by Outspark, it's a great way to meet each other in real life. Seeing that many of the community here ARE friendly.

We could open a booth at the E3 (E3 Media and Business Summit) in San Francisco or Gamex. We could alternatively raid Blizzcon! LOL

For us Florida gamers, there's always getting a panel at MegaCon in February.

I was thinking about this last night o.O
but the bad about this is...there will be fights
because you hate some people in game and when they come to the vens they will start the flame and fight.
plus there is a story: True story.
So there is this guy from another mmorpg game he got pk'ed (player killed as in pvp'd)
and he got so mad, those 2 guys meet up in real life and started a clan the clan is full of their in game guild members they started the fight IN REAL LIFE.
The master of this guild KILLED the other guy and he went to jail for 5 years.

so you guys still wanna do this vens?
because i know alot of people hving issues in this game.
but yea its nice to see ur guildmates
and my old (busouRenkin) we planned to meet irl before
but we didnt hv a chance ._.

There's no point in needlessly arguing the pros and cons. Most everyone knows what they are, and if not, you need go no further than any major(or maybe even minor) cons website to see how they run, what's involved, and yadda yadda, blahdy blah blah.

Well, sorry to sound so sarcastic. Actually I would seriously think it'd be perfectly alright for a booth at an Anime con. A little cross-over action.

But bleh, I'm just filling up space....Sparrow really said all I was gonna say and then some.

I've never been it an anime/game con before, but I've heard they are a lot of fun. ^^ I think it would be interesting, but I find that it would be better to do baby steps as a few others have mentioned. :o A booth at one in California (because it is most convenient) and work their way from there. ^^ I'd <3 to go if I could get away from my parents lol D=

Our booth at an anime con would rock for a few reasons:

1) Girls in hot maid uniforms like Teva.
2) Guys decked out like Cloud and tons of hairspray and hot awesomeness.
3) It's an anime con.

Is there an Otakon thread? There should be because a bunch of my friends are going but I can't go this year 'cause I spent too much money in Fiesta Cash Shop. :(

or maybe the GMs can start an event and the lucky 30 winners will get to represent the players and go to a small cons with the GMs and record videos and take pictures for us and they can post it here in forum and ask questions stuff like that, we dont need 465928465235 people to come to the cons and mess things up

Isn't holding a convention for a single game a little overdose?They cost alot too and most gamers here aren't old enough to travel all the way to some place for a single con,and to start with where will it be held such that all players can attend.Not everyone lives in USA, i live in Singapore(Yes that little tiny dustspeck on your globe)

Anyway for Fiesta to go in Otakon it has to be anime based either way Otaku means geek so WE ARE ALL GEEKS XD(no offence, i don't another repeat of the kalone magazine incident o.o)

It is unfortunate, but there's cons on single comic books, and single games out there, all over the world. I can't make it to a lot of places cuz I'm on the east coast, and the cons are on the west coast.

Everyone can't be everywhere at the same time.

I watch anime, but have never been to an anime con. You'd just have to do what you can do. I like Sparrows idea of a booth at a con on the West Coast.

Maybe next year I can make it to the Philadelphia game con:D

And yeah, for the convention discussion, it would definitely be a good idea to start it off with a stand at something like Comic Con or something. Fiesta would fit in pretty well in Comic Con. Would be good for me too since I live in San Diego :D.

i already personally know most of my guildmates. we are all family. brothers and wives and what not. but still a convention would be awesome. conventions are fun to goto just in general. not only would WE all have fun but think of the crowd that would come just to see the convention. that would mean ALOT more people to join in the fiesta fun!

A booth and a panel made up of GM, CSRs, CLs, and whoever else can come, that's the way to go. =P

Having a booth at a convention would be the best way to go about this. Having an actual con is too much, and I don't think Outspark has enough content to ever justify such an expense.

I would love to visit the 'Outspark booth' at a con.

I was thinking about cosplay, and how it would be great to cosplay as charaters from the game, but unfortunately I don't think there is enough exposure yet of Fiesta or Outspark for people to know who you are cosplaying as. You'd prolly just walk out onto the stage and be like "Hi! I'm Remi!" and the crowd would be all "whaaaaa? who? I don't get this... " Having a booth at a big con would help expose the game, and avoid the above scenario.
