*Sigh* im tired of hearing weakness of mages everytime...i think all classess have been made equally...the thing is how u handle those class...i dunno y ppl always say mages r worse than other class...is there any1 alive who can bring light to a mage character?? so that new player can feel proud to b a mage..and existing mage players dont get demotivated..

Don worry about it. There will always be people bashing the classes they don't like. Mages may have low def but they make up for it with their dmg. And at lvl 60+ they are probably the strongest.

mages are my favorite class. with good end on armour and int on ur staff or wand u can kill almost anything. they also get the loved super nova and inferno at the 60s. they are great for aoe and i luv em.

Clerics are normal but very usefull in partiiiessss...
I quit my archer so I can lvl my mage cuz its way better...
I miss my archer! But archers have so lil skills, so lil damage...

Mages FTW. Once you start using Teir3 scrolls they turn into gods. Get a good cleric and you can AOE like mad.

Something good about mages:

They beat the poop out of me in PvP ^^. They also rock in AoE, even at 5x. I know a mage who I am pretty sure is the strongest 5x in Bijou.

mages specialize in damage in bursts, AKA burst damage.

fiesta isnt unfair to archers, because they are meant to do DoT. it is true that mages do more damage than them overall, but it is made up by being able to withstand more attacks.

Um last time i checked a capped mage friend of mine on Teva had over 1k def without scrolls and he's a very high int player....

AoE without a mage isn't an aoe at all and grinding later on in the game without aoe is just wrong.

1. Yes I agree, if i ever call a mage sucky it's because he/she wooped me in pvp and being i have 5 single target skills from 1-79 that mage shouldn't feel so great about themselves.

2. Yes lots of attack power, BUT not highest crit rate! That belongs to archers. ^.^
Crit rate order: xbow archer, axe fighter/hammer cler, bow, 2hnd fighter, mace/wand/1h, staff
3. With so many skills your bound to have effective ones ^.^

to me i think mage best cuz their attack are so strong that they can kill the moster before the moster reach them......i cant do that with a fighter or a cleric but the archer in other hand is almost i say almost the same but their attack are weaker then the mage... what i'm trying to say is mage are clean and strong fighters... ppl just dont give them chance to prove it

As a mage it is almost 100% IMPOSSIBLE to kill a monster around your lvl before it reaches you -.- Archers can kite and not get hit but still run while attacking D=>

But mages are kinda crappy at lvls 20-59 BUT at 60+... NOVA, FEAR CHAIN CAST, INFERNO, STIFFLE AND STEAL SPELL (=D I removed someones GM Buff once xD)

Well out of all the classes id say mages benefit from the t3 def the most. Def is their main limitation and this alleviates it quite alot. For fighters/clerics t3 scrolls are good, but not as much as they already have decent def/heal. And yeah, u need them because the only monsters u kill before they reach are grey, or mages would be too powerful. But yeah i say use t3 def as much as possible and its an hour of power :P

If a squishy mage is one that wears int armour, try wearing end, u still pull agro as much.
