Are you Awesome?

Well, with a lot of old players gone and only hardcore players/new generation left, I not only want to know who is still here, but if they are awesome.

What I mean by awesome is if you have ever helped someone unconditionally,

have done something great as a challenge for yourself and accomplished it,

prevented something bad or continually fight a battle to keep the peace each day,

if you've brightened someone's day by having been there for them(in other words, a great friend...perhaps...awesome?),

or if you just generally are one of the coolest people around in most things you do.

Few things to keep in mind:
1. Popularity mean can mean very little
2. Honesty is appreciated
3. Anyone can be awesome with time and true effort
4. Bragging/showing off bad, humble good
5. I'd like to hear your stories and/or experiences but don't post just to get ooo's and ah's
6. Don't be too serious about it but don't take it lightly either

On a very, dreadfully serious note, have fun and be informative.

i was part of the old gen kinda .__. unless ur talking about CB.
During the 59 cap raise i tried my best to help ppl but since i was new i couldnt do much, but was always willing to help anyone in need ^^.
After the cap raise, i made and alt and got to learnt he new gen, its kinda sad that its true that new gen wasnt as nice as the old..Bit since i knew more i was able to help alot of ppl out. I still remeber being lv 49 on my alt and helping about 20 diff ppl do quest in GC o.O.

Ever since I learned that the Russian meaning of 'awesome' is 'terrible', I've had trouble using that word. =P

I like helping people, even those I don't know, on their quests, unless I'm in a "must level" mood, which happens once a few years... Friendship is like a balance that needs to be relatively the same for both sides in average, until it reaches a certain point. There are a few people who I'll help unconditionally, any time, anything, to the best of my ability; some in forms of repayment for what they helped me with before, some out of pure friendship.

But, that's just my good side. As soon as people, who are not my friends, expect me to do things for them, such as quest help, free money, and pvlv, I turns on my ignore switch. Sure I'll help them with them when I have time if they ask nicely, but if they asks, or sometimes close to demanding, continuously, even when I have already told them that I'm doing my quests, in an aoe party, or the worst one so far, in KQ, I'm not going to help them anymore... unless a miracle happens. Their action shows a lack of consideration for others, and that is not a quality I look among my friends. I can be, and am, nice most of the time, but I'm still human after all... though sometimes I wish I wasn't. o.o

All in all, kindness can only be repaid through kindness, and I'm forever grateful that a certain person taught me that there is more to this game than just attacking monsters and leveling when I was a newbie.

Oops... just noticed #6... was this too serious? Well, what can I say? I'm a serious person at night... exactly why I didn't wait till tomorrow to reply to this post. *yawns*

Back when I used to play, I quit Teva, I use to duo or make a party of level 30-40 at Uruga and I helped them as much as I can even though I could only kill one at a time. Most of them just wanted a powerlevel, but sometimes it was fun. It is almost the same with these people...they ask for a powerlevel, add you as a friend and ask again. I wouldn't necessarily call myself awesome, but I try my best to help people. I know of other people who have the ability to help others more. Now that I quit..it seems that the old generation is fading. Well, at the moment, I know there are still good people playing this game and are just helping others to cap. My first account has reached close beta but it never did reach lvl 20... (was school day in Philippines so I wasn't able to play much & my bro didn't want me to install new games in the computer.... but yeah, his playing fiesta now >.<)

anyway, I think I AM awesome.... first... back in poa, I helped alot of my friends lvl (and sometimes left me out coz I had so many friends to help XD)
same in doa... when I reached lvl 70 there... I stayed for 3 days just to help 3-4 ppl to get 70 as well and in conjuction my other mage friend (yes, MAGE friends.. half of my flist are enchanters.. I think I only got 3 of each fighter & cleric and 2 archers in my flist I think :P which makes me some1 to look for when ur looking for a mage in ur party :P)

I'm the guild leader of TeamPhilippines... I only managed it to last for like a month or so... there's not much to it since the guild member has gone inactive(might be the reason that prices for expenses irl has gone up)... I transfered mastership from my cleric to my mage....

when my cleric got no guild.. Zac_Kyoto, who I met in my doa pt when I was 70 already & he was 68, help him get 69, invited me to his guild Kogarasumaru... he's gone inactive now and just by sudden... he turned me the guild's master >.> he never did tell me that I'll be master :eek:

Since I was a previous master, I knew how to manage the guild when Zac was away, and now that I'm the master of Kogarasumaru... things are going very well... the guildmembers are nice... against wars that don't have a valid reason.... and most of all... active awesome players ;)

Edit/Additional: I didn't mention my 1-59 days since I can't remember them @_@

I stopped playing fiesta from Ferbruary to March since I moved to New Zealand...

but i did help some ppl around those lvls... and some helped me back :D

there is the Nami_Hime story background tho if any1 still remembers... but correction... she vended that bow when I was lagging >.> - end of story -

Okay so the first thing that sticks out is the fact that you stayed 3 days in DoA helping others level, that is impressive way to go. The part about your brother is hilarious, the evil grip of Fiesta >.<, it'll get your whole family ^^. But yeah, nuff said, I think sacrificing your time to help others is and awesome trait.

I asked for stories and experiences, ones that are similar to the scenarios I listed in my first post, so basically, I'm not looking for a yes, no, or maybe. I'm looking for things that have happened that made people awesome and I may sometimes critique them.

I remember alot of people from way back then and they most of the time don't remember me till I actually tell them that time that that would refresh their memory.

-I've given out money and even given out my own weapon and armor to people for cheap prices. why? well...idk XD

In Fiesta, yes. I have partied with others who were slightly lower in levels (not because they were begging for someone to powerlevle them !) I don't mind helping ppl complete the quests I may have just finished the other day.
In real life I have; I rescued a small kitten that someone tossed out of a car onto the parking lot. Took the kitten to the vet, as it had injured its back/hips somehow, got it the first set of shots and a cortisone shot to help it's back and hips, then took it to a no kill shelter. I later got a card from my vet thanking me for the referral, evidently the person who adopted the kitten took it to my vet! I was happy knowing the kitten found a good home. I already had my limit on pets, otherwise I would have kept the little kitten, but I am glad it found a good home.

In Fiesta, yes, lots, mainly continuing to go into maps where I have a quest but die too rapidly soloing. I try anyway!

IRL I was the first in my family to go to college, and now that I am older I am returning to college to pick up some additional skilss to help keep me employed. I have gone to live in a new place where I didn't know anyone, not once, but twice.

IRL: I hope so. I have tried to teach kids and others to be more careful about what info they give out over the internet

In Fiesta: haven't really gotten that close to many people yet. That may change in time, or it may not. Never can tell.

Some days I am and other days I am not :D I'm sure I am not when I tell people to not give me their real names since they don't know who I am. As i dove into my 70's i was very reluctant to grind endlessly, so there were quite a few times where i helped guildies with quests and stuff. There was also a time where me, nexi and a few friends randomly warred people so that we could have a walking mushroom party. Hope that counts as awesome.

With my New Fighter Dragosh I dont really do much. Mostly KQ's and grind but, when i travel from town to town i do take my time, and i like to get people out of tight situations. For example if a cleric pulled a little to many mobs and i see that they cant possibly survive, i go beside them mock and house myself.

There are a few other stories but im quite the forgetful person :D

And yeah, leveling when 70+ back then was hell, only legend goers were the ones really going for it, everyone else grinded, then got sick of grinding and needed a break. And helping others during that break is good, but almost awesome, what would be awesome is helping someone even when you're good for grinding or when there's and exp boost on >>.

And I myself don't know when I need to save lower levels from certain doom, as sometimes they can take it on amazingly x.x

You're better than me since I usually only help with quests in MT since they're easy to do and it's my favorite map o.o but to do quests you jsut recently did, basically repeating them with little reward to help someone else, is awesome.

Poor kitten, the previous owner is the one that needs to be thrown out of a moving car >=O abusive jerk. Good to hear it was able to live after that, and I'm sure it felt good knowing you were the one to make that drastic change in its life ^^, once again, awesome

Well if you die a lot more than completing the quest in hard areas, I'd say you can endure rather than being awesome x.x

So stepping out of your comfort zone, if you needed to and worked with it using your best effort trying to make new friends and such, then yeah, awesome

Good to hear as there are a lot that do give out personal info willingly, and I've seen some taken advantage of, still ticks me off to this day.

walking mushrooms means actually we warred his twin brother,who is a mage too, then we went to Elderine and he double casted fear on us while we were in our houses and you know the fear bug..If you get feared in your mushroom and you dont shroom back - do instead of that a skill, your a walking mushroom for the people close to you.

we did this the whole way from elderine to aew, was quite funny and my idea.
and yeah MR. HamannM3 is the helpful person and by that he is ALWAYS nice, no matter whats going on.

I do help lower levels, tell them where to go to jobchange, what to do and give them a lovely buff. and if I feel I have too much money I just randomly give it to people who could need it more than I do (because of AWESOME mr.HAMANNM3 i never buy anything else than scrolls,pots and stones so there is alot of silvers I dont really need)

but yeah, I dont think I'm awesome :)

walking mushrooms means actually we warred his twin brother,who is a mage too, then we went to Elderine and he double casted fear on us while we were in our houses and you know the fear bug..If you get feared in your mushroom and you dont shroom back - do instead of that a skill, your a walking mushroom for the people close to you.

we did this the whole way from elderine to aew, was quite funny and my idea.
and yeah MR. HamannM3 is the helpful person and by that he is ALWAYS nice, no matter whats going on.

I do help lower levels, tell them where to go to jobchange, what to do and give them a lovely buff. and if I feel I have too much money I just randomly give it to people who could need it more than I do (because of AWESOME mr.HAMANNM3 i never buy anything else than scrolls,pots and stones so there is alot of silvers I dont really need)

When i started this game noone would help me just figure out where the heck i was... so in that sadness i decided to always help the people who asked me
Sometimes that got me scammed by so called "friends". But we live and learn and then continue to do the same thing anyway because we be stubborn people.
I still go around asking if anyone needs a hand because like Sal here some have helped me along the way.

Knowing who you are isn't a matter of whether you are awesome or not but it is all in good conduct. I know i am not awesome I have spent my days in jail <---- Phailure

But i have helped friends in need Stormy_Rayne i helped her to get from 49 to some ot around 52 before i left and now look at the 7x cleric of awesomeness
I ended up getting married IG to a guy that i spent unconditional time with... whenever he would call i would be there and then one day he just popped the pixelated question i guess someone finally deemed the Keeta worthy of marriage.

But back to the awesomeness issue...

I do believe that helping others is a main priority in this game because how the heck are you going to find a tanker when you are a cleric that is all support or find a cleric when your a squishy yet powerful fighter or even archers and mages who help you in the dungeons or with AoE come on those squishies are freaking awesome....
I as a fighter believe that it is necessary to help people. I have gained some wonderful friends in this game just because i helped....
Sadly there is the random person i KS'd and now we couldn't be better friends

But again all i can say is no I am not awesome but i do pride myself on being honest helpful and most of all comedic in times of dire need.

I do believe that the best example that i have done that would show my true helpfulness is when i decided to take my lvl 5x fighter around in gc and mt and various other low lvl places in one day and just started asking if anyone needed help... Mind you i can't buff so it wasn't that helpful but i did get alot of people lvl's that day 1 exp ftw so in saying all of that randomness trying to turn it in to some sort of organized answer i shall let this be and Yes SAL I am willing to be challenged MUAH HA HA HA HA

As soon as people, who are not my friends, expect me to do things for them, such as quest help, free money, and pvlv, I turns on my ignore switch. Sure I'll help them with them when I have time if they ask nicely, but if they asks, or sometimes close to demanding, continuously, even when I have already told them that I'm doing my quests, in an aoe party, or the worst one so far, in KQ, I'm not going to help them anymore... unless a miracle happens.

I have used my words for lvl 7's responses because her grasp of the English language was very limited. :D

I love to do a wander around the lower level maps to buff and chat to people. Kind of keeps my feet on the ground and keeps me level headed.

When in town I keep an eye on chat for those people asking for help who seem to get constantly ignored. If I have the info they require I will whisper a reply to them. It is just a small thing but I often get a very grateful thanks.

I am very conscious of making sure I never create a train and leave another player to suffer from it. Last night I was helping a new found friend do some quests. After the 3rd time he created a train and almost caused another players death I decided it was time to talk to him. Very calmly I told him if he continued to be so thoughtless towards other players I would leave party and would not help him. He got the message and hopefully that is one less inconsiderate player on the game :D

If I see a player who has been mobbed, or they are killing their train so that it doesnt affect others I will buff and heal them.

I try to buff everybody who asks and the timid ones who are to cautious to ask.

Am I awesome? Nope far from it, but I do try to be caring and thoughtful to other players on the game. Yes I do extend this to strangers as well because every stranger is a potential friend :D

I have no reason to lie, I openly admit to being a thoughtful and caring Fiestaholic. As is human nature, there are days when I just dont want to be bothered with others so I head of to a rarely used map and sit and twiddle my thumbs and solve the problems of the world :P And yes there are even certain days of the month where I have been known to act irrationally. But overall the above typifies an average day for me on Fiesta :D

I think by about lvl 40 I realised *trains* were mostly caused by inconsiderate players riding their movers. So I gave mine a hug and a kiss and tucked it away in storage :D Didnt take it out till I was lvl 72 and no longer took agro and created trains :P

I think i've been helpful to people. when people ask if they need help i go with them and help(only nicely saying please makes all the difference). If someone needs help either questing or healing i will help them even if great exp isn't involved. I even sometimes randomly plvl people in CP. i'm not one too give people money since i mostly try to lvl and not sell, but i do sell stuff to people for dirt cheap prices. Most sell pets for 40s, i sell for 20s to anyone that whispers me first. I've been less likely to help people though now since im starting a archer but i do help people of the around the same lvl since my archer is a good lvling machine.

I made a legacy here in Outspark, and left behind what is here today. A scrap of confusion and loss due to the change in staff. Although this was months ago, and by now, I am probably forgotten, it doesn't matter, because those that remember me have also left due to the same reasons.

The group of friends that surround me are all great and caring and never let me down. I voice my opinion in some areas and let it pass in others. It doesn't matter where I post it, just who reads it. The things I post are meaningful and never distort my subject on the matter from truth to false. Those who ignore the things that matter don't deserve the luxury of having someone tell you. Those who do listen, are rewarded heavily. Thus, why Outspark is failing.

I wrote a fiesta biography up to level 66 and posted it

I'm a capped fighter

I have the best, blue ax in Teva *brag brag*

I had one of the best made forum green shops

I have a level 10 on Pro Pow and got first place in a race with 5 others, a good player, and even a CSR, though I think it was just because both the good player and CSR messed up a little

I've gotten orc conqueror 2.3 times

Have won 2nd place in most of the battle arena events that Fiesta used to have

Was one of the 5 to win a Pegasus, and 1 of the 2 people of the 5 winners to be able to activate theirs

Tanked as a mage in mara kq on my alt

Have 1%, working on 2%, on my legendary tree license on my blue ax.....just cause I can

I've had 3-4 guild families who enjoyed having me as a member, have always been made an admin eventually

I love helping lower levels in Moonlit Tomb with all quests there since it's my favorite map.

Made a +9 level 1 sword and got the enhancement god before perfects came out, though it took me 400-500s to do

Even though I act like a spoiled brat at times, I'm fun to grind with and talk to

Was born in the year of the Pegasus xD

Won a "Find the GM" event and got a 30 day blue menian crit and defense set, along with a tier 2 vit recipe, and learned it soon after

Well, with a lot of old players gone and only hardcore players/new generation left, I not only want to know who is still here, but if they are awesome.

What I mean by awesome is if you have ever helped someone unconditionally,

have done something great as a challenge for yourself and accomplished it,

prevented something bad or continually fight a battle to keep the peace each day,

if you've brightened someone's day by having been there for them(in other words, a great friend...perhaps...awesome?),

or if you just generally are one of the coolest people around in most things you do.

Well I guess I'm an old generation player being as I started back in September. Really to be honest I dont consider myself awesome in any way, shape, or form.

Have I helped someone unconditionally? Hmm I suppose so, Many of times I got bored with the constant grinding so I helped friends, guildies, and even random people that most others would ignore with quick levels, quests, or even pocket change. Do I consider that awesome? Not really...I just consider it right thing to do.

Have I ever challenged myself? I guess I have...I mean I try and challenge myself each and everyday.
-Back in the 40's I tries soloing GGK....succeeded.
-Back in the 50's I attempted parting and taking out the FoS Legendary Tree and his buddies....succeeded after many failed attempts and lose of exp.
-Back in the 60's I had to teach myself a new style of tanking to better equip myself for the new skills that were introduced into the game...I think I succeeded hehe.
-In the 70's Yeah I know not that big of deal but I went back and soloed every boss mob in Fiesta atm and succeeded.
-At cap...Being as no new mobs are out....only way to challenge myself is with pvp. So I look for fights and try and beat the person or I just check my survivability...I mean if I cant survive against one person what kind of tank am I?

Major accomplishments? I got two I think
-The first accomplishment I believe I achieved was taking on two guilds at once and surviving...It was a few months ago. I was level 72 with maybe 1800 defense. Yes I had charm on...and I had three clerics healing me with me spamming pots (Not CS pots I dont use them) and stones. Yeah I used a charm but really...who can say they can be hit by 17 people and survive for 30 mins? If ya can then congratz cause it sure wasnt easy for me. Also...considering what I had back then and what I have now...thats what makes it accomplishment in my eyes. Level 72 compared to level 79...7.2k hp compared to 8.2k hp...1800 defense with charm compared to 2900 defense with charm...Btw one of those clerics was Rika just to throw that in :P
-The second accomplishment was reaching 8k hp and IM so dam close to reaching my other one of 2k def without charm...(Need to find a Defense pot). Yeah not big deal to have 8k hp cause anyone can get it...but it was a goal for me and I reached it and beyond....Im almost at 8.3k hp now.

Have I prevented something bad? Hmm...yes and no...some of the bad things I prevented are personal things between me and the other people so Im not gonna share them. But yes I have prevented bad things from happening. As far as community fights? Not really I tend to try and stay out of the arguements unless directed towards me or a friend.

Have I brightened someones day? Well I guess so...according to some people lol. Some of the people I became friends with really hated me till we sat down when they had a problem and we talked it out and became friends. (Dont ask me why they talked to me about their problems when hating me I have no idea lol.) Some of my best friends had in real life situations they were dealing with and I sat down and talked to them and they said they felt better afterwards. My girlfriend says I brighten her day every day lol.

Am I an all around cool guy in everything I do? Hahahaha, Im far from cool. But I like helping people. and I like challenging myself. Cause what you dont succeed at makes you stronger in my oppinion. I have learned more from my failures then my accomplishments.

So to wrap up probably my longest post ever....do I consider myself awesome? Nope... I just an average person who likes to help people and challenge myself, thats all. Some of the people I became friends with really hated me till we sat down when they had a problem and we talked it out and became friends. (Dont ask me why they talked to me about their problems when hating me I have no idea lol.) Some of my best friends had in real life situations they were dealing with and I sat down and talked to them and they said they felt better afterwards. My girlfriend says I brighten her day every day lol.

Am I an all around cool guy in everything I do? Hahahaha, Im far from cool. But I like helping people. and I like challenging myself. Cause what you dont succeed at makes you stronger in my oppinion. I have learned more from my failures then my accomplishments.

So to wrap up probably my longest post ever....do I consider myself awesome? Nope... I just an average person who likes to help people and challenge myself, thats all. If you think what I do is awesome then so be it hehe. But I just do what I do to have fun. Anyways I ranted on long enough. If you read this all your one bored person LOL.
