I am hopelessly addicted to Fiesta's cash shop. Hopelessly, utterly, completely, despairingly, truly addicted to it. Despite all of my best efforts to control myself and forbid myself to even visit the CS homepage, I can't help but buy something. I'm like a Japanese girl with her daddy's credit card spending a day in Harajuku--I buy EVERYTHING.

At first it started harmlessly. What's a few things, here and there, to amp my game experience? They last 30 days anyway, so I won't have to think about it. WRONG. Chigai! Before I knew it, I'd bought 3 stat reset scrolls, 3 beauty shop coupons, a house, 3 mounts, at least 4 different outfits. Oh sure, I was PLENTY fine with my 30 day dragon set...

... until I saw the swimsuits. I bought the Hawaiian one immediately. But that wasn't enough. I got tired of my dragon, and bought a raccoon mover. But I didn't think it looked right, so I changed my appearance with a beauty shop potion (3rd time I'd used it). Then I saw someone wearing bunny ears. OMG! I had to have them. Unfortunately which required I purchase the entire easter set. Which I did. So now, I'm wearing the hawaiian set with the easter set bunny ears, a raccoon mount, critical glasses...

Somebody help me! Does anyone else have problems like this? Cash Shop horror stories? :S (screenshots to follow shortly)

i wish i could relate... i mean REALLY.. I wish I could buy the things I need from the cash shop... But I can't. xD [Never bought anything from CS, ever!]
Maybe it would help if you made a pact with yourself that you're only going to buy certain CS items upon reaching a certain level or a certain goal.. For example, reaching level 60 or something. So you would be motivated to level and at the same time control your addiction. ^^

That's a good idea. The only problem is, that might just make me pull more all-nighters leveling so I can buy more stuff. :O

Careful with your name. CSA is also a reference to the Confederate States of America (the states that succeeded from the Union prior to the Civil War). Don't want people calling you Rebs, do you?

CSA also means "Community Supported Agriculture". I don't think the Confed. States really have a monopoly on such a common acronym. ^^

Dolly is afraid that if she starts she won't have money. =.= I would probably spend the little I have currently because I need it for my animal projects. :o Plus my parents would never allow it. I wouldn't be able to resist from purchasing. ;o;

I'm right there with you Icarus. The only reason I haven't bought the new swimsuits yet is because I spent all my spare cash on the Remi game and I don't get paid till Friday. :( I will be doing some shopping on Friday though...

Lashlin needs a vacation from grinding, Sand Beach here I come! :D

As soon as I added up how much money I'd spent on cs after awhile, I basically stopped. Too much money to spend on something like this. I'll spend 5$ a month for glasses and a tuxedo to look fancy, but I can't bear to spend any more than that on pixels.

The cash shop is really a pretty genius thing. Get people to pay real money for something that doesn't actually exist. Or at least, something that they have in infinite amounts, since it only exists in the game, and costs nothing to produce.

are u serious???
that is a symptom of a serious psychological issue called compulsive buyers syndrome or whatever..
that is insane with the "OMG I GOTTA GET IT"
attitude, you should really talk to family member or someone u can confide in...
not that you have spent much money but, you might want to take a bit of consideration
in choosing your outfit/ (character appearance) in the future

Is it really that hard to limit yourself?

Personally, I would never, EVER purchase (and use) more than one outfit at a time. Just thinking about it makes my wallet hurt. I can't understand why people would want to spend their money like that then waste half of it.

Same thing with mounts. If you already have one, why on earth would you feel it necessary to get more?

Lol I was going to buy my favourite Red V-Pack when I saw those 2 new items.

- Black Swimsuit
- Hawaiian Suit

Should I pick one only...or just buy all 3 of em'? o.0"

Some of the replies to this rather amused me. Just thought I should point that out. Although, I would tend to agree that would be a bit of obsessive buying. I couldn't fathom wasting that much money by only using part of a set.

I do my best to hold back not spending too much, but the kids [names removed for someones protection].... lets just say they have 4 page inventories and 3 of those 4 are FILLED with cash shop items ... i can't believe we haven't gone broke yet >.< I swear we're literally paying entire monthly salary for some of the employees at outspark >.>

I buy a lot of stuff, but I don't use more than 2 costumes at the same time (one for in town and one for fight ^^; )

As for the mounts, only one at a time

But yeah it's an addictiv thing, Outspark knows how to get us to spend more cash :)

i got the problem that they put too much effort that i only can spent 10$ a month and they get lik e2 or 3outfints that i want each month :S

Wow.

Ill admit the stuff is cool, but at least I moderate it.
If I ALREADY have a suit on, I force myself to wait til it runs out.
If Im not going to be playing a character for a while, I DO NOT use it on that character. When I use a beauty shop coupon, I make sure THAT is what I want them to look like, no matter what. No changes. (results in me spending like 1 hour using a coupon, btu thats ok).

Like now, I REALLY REALLY REALLY want a black male swimsuit on my cleric. But Ive been playing my archer. :/ I have the red dragon pack on my archer. It lasts 12 more days.
So for right now, I will BUY the vday suit and black swimsuit, but I will not use either for 12 days. Plus I will need a mover for whichever character I put the suits on, so Ill prolly buy the snowsled.

:/ While yes: I do want the items. I am also a very cheap person. I dont like to spend a ton of money on a game (Hell for Halo 3 I waited til Herioc pack came out for free first, downloaded it, then bought legendary pack). Same thing with here, I wait til my character is lv 40 or so, activate a lv 30 suit, and spam the lvls til the suit runs out.

There are a few times wherby i can't resist buying a new suit when im wearing an old one. I vote for number 2. http://i279.photobucket.com/albums/kk127/xintiandi2008/52.gif

if I see a cute outfit in the cs that I like, I'll buy it, but hold it in my pack until my current outfit wears out... most of the time, I just have my permy-suits, so when new 30-day outfits come out, I don't mind popping it out right then and using it ^^

Hello,
Seeing as I'm a CS noob, would someone please explain what happened to me.
I bought a racoon (it showed NO time limit, only reason i bought) and a pet that also showed no limit. However, i get in game and load em up..bam.. 7 day limit!!??? It's not like they were cheap after all. I am awaiting a response from support but we all know how that goes.
I am more than grateful for any answers from you CS vets. Thanks in advance.
Richard
