The bank(storage) is shared among ALL your characters on the account. Put items*in there then switch to other character and get it.

To answer your second question, press*Z to switch between run and walk modes.

Clarification on this... MOST items are transferable. There are certain ones, like a mover that is bound to the character itself, and can't even be put in storage.
