I accidentally blocked a friend when I was trying to block a spammer! And now, I can't read their messages! I've tried reinstalling the game, and logging out then in again and nothing is working.. I can talk with the alt character just fine tho. Any ideas?

Take a look at the link in my signature. I have a list of various ways that will usually unblock a person.

Reinstalling should have unblocked your friend. Make sure you also have your whispers turned on as well.
