He replied back "Thanks, smart a**, don't talk to me again."

I quickly stated "^^; Don't tease me."

Yeah, you have too be careful when being sarcastic sometimes, some people dont either:

1. Find it funny.
or
2. Catch on too the sarcasm

IMO, I didn't think what you said was that much of an insult for him too respond like that...But like i said, some people don't "get the drift".
