Please Outspark, I implore you from the bottom of my heart. Add some sort of "are you sure" function when buying from shops.

Some noob (me) just spent 9g accidentally buying an overpriced GH 1h+9, due to my finger literally slipping and clicking when I was checking someone's shop.

Not only am I now somewhat ruined financially, I have bought an item which is of no use to me (a capped Mage) and will resell at best for about 5g. I have whispered the player who I accidentally bought it from, and am hoping he is good natured enough to buy it back from me.

I *know* what everyone is going to say "shop on a mover!" Well, I usually do, just today, I logged in right in the middle of the shops and thought I'd check them out.

Anyway, there is a "are you sure" option when you NPC stuff, so can this please be implemented into buying from shops (player and otherwise) also? I'm sure there are many other people here with similar stories to tell ^^;;.

lmao

This has happened to so many people, the number is limitless.
I have told this time and time again to friends and guildies not to run around with that much money in their inventories.
That keeping it in their storages would help prevent those "ohnoezIbroughtanoverlypricelousyitemD=" situations.

Just enough for a restone or two.

But yes, I completely agree with you.
Such an option would be great

omg ._. I hate doing this, luckily i havent bought anything too pricey.
In total i've only misclicked 2.7g worth of stuff, so, nothing too much.
But, thats a real good idea, it would really be handy.

i love the way you waved at 2.7g and go.. yeah well nothing much

I once had a guildie that said "is this xxx staff worth xxx?"

3 sec later... "nvm i bought it by accident"

i guess not running around with so much gold should be the solution for now...

though, hv u noticed that when u WANT to buy something.... right clicking never works first time =/

They might have had that much money cause they were buying something.
Anyway.
I find I have to click an item a few times before I can actally buy it, so a confirmation button would annoy me >.<
But thats only me personally and I see where you're coming from. It could perhaps be something you click to have in your options?

Sorry for your loss, I hope you get your money back ._.

:)

The problem with that is when you see a good cheap item on sale, by the time you get back from the storage after geting the money it's already gone. Yes, you can whisper the person selling it to save it for you but most of the time the vendors are afk.

Well maybe! they could do it for ANYTING that costs 1g and up:D that way you guys dun loose ur pesos(the confirmation button)

Also . . . I know this is silly question but why can we not heal in our shops? It would make for some wonddifferic change:D

we can't heal in shops because our shops are our shrooms... which are used to rest and restore hp and sp in its other form so therefore why would you shroom and use stones also. Though having the vendor shrooms/etc. use the same house resting(healing) feature would be nice.

you can't buy anything while on a mover
therefore you'd have to get off ur mover when you found the item you wanted

shawhty

no I meant, why don't we regenerate hp while selling . . . it don't make sense that we're in the same house but can't heal; sorry half awake and I talk weird sometimes:D

i guess I just don't get the "other form" thing

Very much agreed, bought things by accident myself sometimes, highest being around 2.5g.

This happens to me alllll the time! I think I have a spastic clicky finger. A "Are you sure you want to buy this" prompt would be most appreciated.

Well, to be honest, I don't think this is a bad idea. To the OP: As a suggestion, why don't you add a poll with at least 3 options and see if you can get a consensus on this issue? Once you have the data we can present it to the GMs to see if it is a viable change that can be added in a futre patch.

Just food for thought, seeing as this is not the first thread on this subject to have come up...

Look before you leap.

Or keep your mouse away from the vendor menu.

I have been careless and have overpaid for some goods on vendor. As a result I created a system and how I handle coins in game. Things I do when browsing for wares to avoid the oh dear I paid way too much for this XYZ item ><.
1. I usually only carry a maximum of 200s, It is more than enough for several restoning purchases but more than enough for any great bargains out there. If I should make an error the maximum amount I will only ever lose is 200s.
2. Always put your coins in the bank when you hit at least one gold, for example millionaires in real life may have millions but they do not usually carry 10 thousand dollar notes in their pockets, most of the their funds are in the bank.
3. When browsing for ware, always get used to shopping on your mount.
4. There are times when you forget either of the 3 steps I mentioned above but by at least always follow 1/3 steps I mentioned above you may avoid the 9G mistake on a vendor item.

I bought a +9 lvl 20 sword while warring once. didn't even notice till after either when i was cleaning my inventory. Normally I would say yea don't keep your gold with you. But if you vend all the time or vend for lots of stuff then decided to play for a bit then go back to vending its easy to run around with lots of gold and get carried away. Having a confirmation screen would be nice even if it was just a quantity screen for every item regardless of its selling numeration.

I have noticed not being able to buy things you want on the first and ever 5th click.

It would also be nice if you could restock your shop or change prices without having to reopen it, but wishing for something like that is more a pipe dream. I like the vending system in this game for the most part.

but there is more that could be done with it. such as using spark cash to make your title larger so more people can see or from a farther distance. or to allow you to both buy and sell items in the same vender mode. also something that keeps a history of transactions, so you can know who bought thoes godly +9s you used to wear. i can think of a lot more ideas, but with all my wishing for fixes or improvements to vending i know there are vast areas to this game that are not available to us yet. So as far as what detracts enjoyment from this game id say accidental purchases and the vending system are the least of the programmers problems.

i accidentally bought a junkie shield that cost me 100s >_>
i think outspark shuld add a function that asks "are you sure you want to buy this?"

but yeah outspark wont return your gold trust me
they'll just say
you purchased an item and that was your own fault. there is nothing we can do about it

or something like that

The person might not give you a refind but you should always carry like 100-200 silver with you. Keep rest in storage. I don't know how many times that and on mover saved me!

Ha, so I'm not the only one who thinks there must be an option "are you sure"
Happened to me as well, I bought a lvl 50 NPC hammer in someone's store for I dunno how much >.<;;
I hope GM's will look into this and add this thing XD
Fingers slipping can happen.

*raises hand and starts waving crazily* Happens to me, too!!! >.<

I'm kinda lousy at getting money, and once I get a reasonable amount of silver... T__T

Last time I was checking out a store with trillions of scrolls and they wanted me on guild chat, so I clicked "enter" and bought 50 t3 overpriced scrolls X_X (I almost fell off my chair)
