I'm Having a problem with downloading the game... help? [Archive]

Well yesterday the game was working fine for me; no lag or anything whatsoever. But then my computer froze for a second and then I lost connection to the internet. The internet came back up like a few hours later and I tried to get back onto Secret of the Solstice. I logged in alright but then the patch-ups began. It lasted for like three hours, and my computer is rather fast too... after the patch-ups it brought me back to the launcher and so I tried it again..... more extremely long patch-ups. I tried this four times and to no success. This morning I un-installed the game and started to re-install it. Two times it said that the download was "either corrupted or incomplete". I used gamershell client to download it. This is my third time re-installing it today and I have no idea what is going on.
Can anyone help me? I love this game (I guess you can say I'm addicted >.<) and I really don't want to have to find a new one.... Thank you if you can help me.

have you checked for viruses, that might also explain the internet failing, unless you can already account for the failing, check for viruses, also have you deleted the old download data?

p.s. i'm not insinuating you don't know how to use a computer, i'm just trying to help out
