The skill system is sort of unique for me. What skills do I get and how do I raise them and stuff?

Get all the skills from Skill Master Ruby when you are the required level to use them. To raise them you wait until you're the next required level and you buy the [02] of the skill.

If you mean empowering, decide whether you'd like to be a DD or tank fighter, then have a look at the sticky at the top of the Fighter forum. To empower them, go to your skill tab, click skill empower, then move a skill into the window and increase what you would like. (Cooldown, power, duration, SP consumption). You really don't have to worry about doing this till level 20 though.

I have another question too. Where do I buy fighter armor and weapons? Oh by the way I'm going to be a DD fighter. So I get all the active and passive skills? Which ones do I get for the other category?

Theres a person who sells skills in every town (skill master) and a person who sells armor/weapons (smith). They have correspinding symbols on the map screen too, I don't remember what they are though. Just talk to every NPC or shout and ask, it should't be too hard to find out whats what.

Every fighter of any type has the same base of skills, and you'll want to buy all of them.* In this game, where you add customizeability to skills isn't in what skills you get, but in how you empower them.

To empower a skill, press K. That will bring up a screen that lists all your learned skills. At the bottom of that window, theres a "skill empower" button. That will bring up a smaller window with a space and some options in it. You can then drag the icon of the skill you want to empower from the K window into the space in the smaller window. Then, next to the "skill empower" button it shows how many skill points you have. You get one of these every other level, and they let you improve the skill in some way.

So, in the little window where you dragged a skill, there are little up and down arrows you click to put 1 skill point at a time into whatever attribute of a skill you want to alter. The options are power, sp consumtion, cool time, and effect time. Not all of these affect all skills, by reading the description of the skill you can find out what applies. Not all skills do damage, not all have an affect that time applies to, ext.

When you use skill points on a skill, you can then see the effect on the skill by rolling over the skill icon in that small box where this is happening, so you can decide if you like it or not. If you do, you can press "complete" or something and the changes will be done.

As for what skills to empower, theres plenty of info on that around the fighter forums here, so look around for a sec and you oughta find enough to make your decision.

*( There are some different skills for different weapons and things like that that as DD you don't really need, for example as a DD you're gonna wanna be using an axe for a weapon, so you may as well not buy the sword and shield skills. But they're generally cheap enough that you should just buy all skills availabel to you, you never know what you might need sometime.)

I was going to use a 2H sword, but if the axe is better I will use it. Unless the 2H is good too. And is the stat build 25 SPR then full STR good?

Both weapons have their advantages and disadvantages. 2Handers have less crit, decent damage and look pretty cool. Axes have more crit, are kinda slow, NICE damage if you're DD and can look cool sometimes.

Thing about the speed difference is, this doesn't apply to skills. Your skills go as fast as you can press the buttons, the attack speed of the weapon only applies to the generic attacks you do that aren't skills.

And anyway, the difference isn't that big there. In 15 seconds you get 10 attacks with the 1.5 attack speed of the axe. At 1.3 second attack speed, in that same amount of time you only about 1 more attack than the axe. And since every hit the axe does its stronger, it pretty much comes out being more powerful anyway. And these are just generic-non skill attacks, so they don't matter an enormous amount anyway.
