Makeing your chatting life easier.......

Ok since I found this near the end of CBT2 i've been loveing life alot better when chatting and fighting/moveing/doing anything else in the game at the same time. I started announceing this yesterday in shout and since noone seemed to know about it I figured i'd post it here to help people out.

There is a way to fix the default problem of haveing to hit return twice when chatting to get the text bar to go away so you can use your keys for other things (Like playing the game maybe? :) :) )

In the GAME OPTIONS, by default the only option enabled on the right hand side is "COMMAND PROMPT" if this is enabled, disable it. That's it..... Enjoy chat life without haveing to worry about if you hit return again to get rid of your text bar.

im not sure if i completely follow you here, what your saying is the box where you place text in is consantly open?
what would that mean for the short cuts?

really im just being lazy now i'll try it tomorrow after i get some sleep.

Ha, oh god. I remember more than once dying a embarassing death because I was talking and the chat bar didn't close after the last comment I made. I ended up with lots of 2s, 4s, and 5s in the chatbox.

yeah, this feature is useful to disable if you're just leveling, although it does make constant chatting a pain; you need to always hit enter again to type a new line. So some switching is required when needed. OR you can just get used to one of the two. :P

it will at least help people who by accident spout lines that consist of "wwwwwwwwww" or "111111" xD

Yea basicly for most people if they don't make any changes to settings in GAME OPTIONS the small chat box you get to enter text stays on screen after you hit enter on the text. And if your fighting or start trying to move all your keyboard input just starts acting like text your going to say in chat again. You have to hit return twice to make this little box go away so you can start useing your keyboard to do things with your character again. With my change it simply goes away after you enter the line of text, without haveing to hit return again.

And yea in response to another poster, I noticed alot of WWWWWWSSSAAAAWWWWW 44455566677655555 going on and i'd seen some people say how annoying it was you had to hit return twice to get rid of the box. So I figured i'd throw it out there.....heh.. :)

Yep it works great, I've been using it since CB days too. I never realized just how many people never explore the options/setup/custom settings in games until I started beta testing games hehe.
