What kind of lame dictator would just sit around spending his time idly attacking towns which would not have any lasting effects whatsoever and forgotten 2 hours later?

I agree, his attack strategy is not that origional, and his commentary and laugh isn't very evil at all (nothing compared to my soothing evil voice that puts people to sleep).

Alastor, I compliment you on your recent attacks, slightly more worthy than the previous one. Dragons are a little tougher, so takes a little effort to AOE them all. Though dragons are better than a dull city full of high HP biskers that are chicken and run away all the time(what's the point of fighting mobs that are too chicken to fight?). on the other side it's also good for lower lvl mobs for the low lvl people to fight(low lvls also deserve a bit of fun).

I understand that city spawns are great as people don't lose exp in game, brychild has a lot of newbs, so it's not nice to enter a new game for the first time as a lvl1 xenain only to find 500 dragons breathing down your neck, and the other cities are harder to get to for low lvls (though in a way you could spawn some super tough mobs in Jot that even the lvl 110+ will be scaredof, and not worry about lower lvls being pawned, while spawning some poyos in Bry, and some mid-lvl mobs in Eir etc).

Maybe he could cast some evil spells over the land of xen, and we’d need to unite to do some tricky tasks to overcome it.

Or maybe some more sinister plans, Alastor is supposed to be a big evil mastermind, I’m sure he can think up more intriguing ways of practicing the evil dominance than simply throwing a few mobs art essene.

And why is it that it is always Alastor attacking us? He’s been pestering the land of xen long enough, our armies are ready, let’s get the heroes of xen together and bring the fight to his doorstep, find his lair and strike at the hart of the problem. Let me know where he lives and I’ll be there to assassinate him.

We are not scared of you Alastor! Show us what you’ve got! Come out of hiding and fight like a man!



On a side note, it would be fun duel with GM's, not the PvP where they deal 5000 dmg, have 50,000hp, with maxed out GM stats and uuber equipment, but where they have a equal character, within 5 lvls (as the duel rules indicate, duel rules also say 100 pot limit etc), and have ordinary equipment (max +6/6ap, and nothing that ordinary players can't get). then we would be able to actually test our playing skills against the GM's playing skills. see which one is the better player (not simply 1-hit Pwnd by an invincible god). A fair 1v1 battle with even leveled/skilled/equipment characters would be a lot of fun!

I challenge any Gm to a duel IF they have their character re-made to be the same as an ordinary character of equal level, equipment(you must let us inspect to check) and with no special GM powers.

Are any GM’s up for the challenge?

well i mean there ARE more people in Essene all the time. Strategy isnt his strong point though, unless hes lulling you into a dismissing him as a threat, in which case it seems to have worked splendidly. I bet we havent seen the last of him though.

Ala-bore is a classic example of a puppet leader.
He OBVIOUSLY has no tactical military knowledge, he prides himself on battles he constantly loses, and is prone to laughing manically just moments before running away in shame! o_O

I think there must be a driving force behind him. (A worthy villain, if you would)
Some kind of evil mastermind who is pulling the strings, carefully planning out some sort of grand scheme, etc etc...

At least, I hope Alastor isn't our true enemy (lest the target of our enmity is his unending idiocy)

maybe a curse in a city would be good, with mob spawns like in a regular map, say for a week, or something, or like one week long event kinda the great adventure, so, till the event is finished and the city free it'll have random spawns o.o

That reminds me of my first visit to Essene. At that time monsters were attacking the city and they killed me o.O. I was a noob and i thought that Essene was some kind of battle field... i was scared to visit it again lol.

The question is.. What would happen if those monsters that he spawns in Essene aren't killed? Will he take over that city or something? We should leave those monsters there just to see what would happen later..

In my previous game, when a city was invaded the attacked city was completely taken over by an evil force, leaving every player outside of the town until they figure a way to take it back.. the longer the city was left like that the stronger (sealed) mobs (Aka more than one boss) started to appear instead constructing their own lifestyle in the city until they have completely established their power. And since everyone was a noob sort-of it ended up like that leading everyone to level up and move to another city until they get stronger to get that city back, suprisingly the last boss was the evil force himself but he always managed to escape (His teleport was an aoe explosion that pwnd everyone >_>).

the thing is we are guaranteed victory. we can re-spawn as many times as we like. and we have some tough people (including several 100+). so even if we only killonemonster at a time, we will be able to keep respawning indefinutly, while the mobs are only spawned a set number of times by the GM. so we always eventually bring them down, even if we die a few times in the process.

idea would be if a hell gate opened up in Eir, and for a weekend mobs would automatically spawn every minute for a period of a weekend. I don't think we could lose essene for a period(all the newbs there), but losing Eir or Cv to alastor for a week or so is quite feasable. also when this would happen of course the teleporter would flee, so we couldent teleport there, and would have to walk there. if we kill the mobs we would keepthe numbers down, but if we leave it it would get overrun over time. so we would need to have constant guards there to stop it getting out of hand. i don't know if that would work, but something like that could be tried.

or maybe something different, alastor should think out of the box!

there must be some kiond of thread about the progress of storyline in sos...

who killed marian?
how was she revived?
how did alastor react?

I feel that its kind of bad that they only focuses those storyline progresses on certain time zones...more like "oh, you're not there? well, the storyline isn't for you to know then..." what about a thread held by one of the GMs to observe storyline progress in sos?

I vote we hire Aratos to be Alastor's Shrink. I mean if he/she/it/whatever can see into the future, I don't see how they would have any difficulty looking into Alastor's mind and helping him.
