Came up with a couple more ideas for the game.
For KQ's, As quests are set by level the way it is, set them into sub levels as well, with each subset tailored to the level requirements. Examples are...
King Slime: Levels 5-8, Levels 9-12, Levels 13-16
Mara Pirates: Levels 17-20, 21-23, 24-26
This would A: Give a better chance for players to get in quests. B: Give everyone a chance to actually complete the quest. and C: Stop a lot of complaining.
Next idea is.. Elderine return scrolls...
There's NO reason whatsoever that mobs in forest of tides need to drop these as people fighting there have no business in Elderine anyhow. New players are getting the scrolls and using them, havin no clue that they walk out any gate there that it means instant death from the first mob they run across..
I've given a few lost souls Roumen return scrolls, but seems like when people ask the majority eithr laugh at them, or tel lthem walk out a gate and die. Unless they walk out the forest of mist gate to do that.... they're right back where they started in Eldrerine.
Finally, Something needs to be done about the kill system. Last night I was helping some lower levels kill Mara in Sea of Greed.
I'd be tanking her (as a cleric) and taking all the damage.. only to have people come up out of nowhere and start beating on her as well. Didn't matter that we got in the first hit, and I took al lthe damage, it took 5 tries before they got cerdit for her as last hit counts, not who attacked first.
Suggestions for this are....Instanced areas for bosses where only that person/party can get in.
If a mob is being atttacked, no one but the person who got the first hit or the party they're in would get exp or quest credit.
Or, if you KS enough, you wind up in jail for 10-15 min. Accidental KSing does happen, so this would have to be a reasonable number like 20 in 1 hour or more, with warnings coming up at 5, 10 and 15 KS', with 20 landing you in jail.
This wouldn't apply to KQ's as that is a group effort....success depends on the entire group, not individual people or parties.
